Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Wilkins is some fraud. The tactics today were dreadful and to get bullied by 14 at home is shocking.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Outside centre Shane Jennings at Connacht looks an interesting player to me. He hasn’t played a lot with Connacht as of yet. Former Ire u20 2 or 3 years back, & was with Ire 7’s for a bit. Injured in last Connacht appearance a few weeks back. He looks old fairly big, athletic & quite fast. Anyone h...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Shamus Hurley-Langton staying at Connacht. Very good bit of business that, was wondering if he'd get an offer from France or something. Great business. Excellent player Was nearly certain he was off myself in all honesty with the belt-tightening. A really positive signing since he arrived so great ...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Not sure exactly what you mean there with the writing on the wall. Do you mean he's being phased out? That's my feeling anyways. If he's in the 23 for Scotland (not writing off England but surely if he's released to Connacht for Scarlets he won't feature in Twickenham) it'll be proven as nonsense b...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Just trying to figure it out. Reading between the lines, I'd say Farrell allowed some leeway with Bealham while keeping him technically available for selection. The fact he was released to Connacht suggests he wasn't in line for England either. Farrell is all about family so, again, presume that wa...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

That was myself on here and was confirmed by Farrell too. He did have a baby fairly recently, wasn't it? But he was available for selection. A bit vague all the goings on but anyway he's back in camp now, hopefully will be in the 23 for Twickenham. Jager got his first cap and did well. Happy days. ...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

It's been a bit unclear as to his availability last weekend. Was it you who said he was available for selection? I thought the word on the street was that he was given the week off because his missus had just had a baby. Yes. But someone, can't remember who, said that wasn't the case. That was myse...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

The paternity leave rumour for Bealham isn't the case I believe. He was available for Saturday. So essentially looks like Furlong still has 3 sewn up and it's Bealham v Jager for the bench against England.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Disappointing to lose Kilgallen. Lads like McNulty and Mullins aren't looking too likely to work out, TOH is old, Cordero might have lost more than a yard or two pace with the cruciate and who knows if Porch will stick around. We'd be putting a lot of faith into the likes of Bolton, Smith and McNam...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Poor enough to let Bristol have nearly all the second half 22 territory but a win is a win. It's asking a lot for them to qualify for the last 16 but they restored a bit of pride tonight after a shitshow in Europe. Hawkshaw was my MOTM but Smith, Bolton, Murray, Dowling, and SHL all had very good o...

Busby and the gang had a mare. Ralston decision was wrong, missed Ralston with a high tackle on Zebo late on, should've checked the Conor Murray challenge to Niall Murray, missed what I thought was an extremely reckless bang to Denis Buckley from Loughman and a dangerous clearout on Hansen. You're l...

This season just keeps non-giving. No offence Westies, but ye're a poor, poor side. We have to watch this Wilkins coaching ticket every week pal, so no offense taken. We're dogshit. Much better second half. Great in defense for the duration of the second half essentially.

Delighted JJ was able to take us over the line. He's so limited in play but having a reliable kicker tonight won it.

Prender and Bolton outstanding.
