Re: SR Rd 10. Brumbies V Canes: A Capital Affair!

Disappointment is part of the fun of being a Canes supporter. We don't suffer the hubris of the 3x champion Blues or 14x champions Crusaders fans live with. We are the people's champions for a reason. Are we the Princess Diana of Super Rugby? Hitting your head on the dashboard? Was going to say som...

Re: SR Rd 10. Brumbies V Canes: A Capital Affair!

Aumua is gone for 6 to 8 weeks with an MCL tear in the left knee. Poos. That'll hurt. Any idea who they'll bring in? I'm assuming someone from outside the squad given we're onto our third hooker. Damn, oh well. Brumbies to win. I had 50% hit last week, so you know I have no idea, but that's a bigge...

I too loved being to watch the progress of the operation on the multiple screens. My wife had already gone to work as I had texted her I was just doing a blood test and a quick x-ray, after driving myself there so neither of us thought it was anything serious. I have been walking for 20~30mins a day from the day I came home and feel pretty good, though I am going to sleep a lot earlier than I used to. I'm with you on the shock -- woke up on Thursday morning feeling a bit off so I drove to the A&E, arriving at 6AM and by 8AM I was lying on a table in the ...

This is a weird game. Canes can't seem to make first up tackles and was Drua wilting at end of that half. Still could on a run of one from one.

Genuine question - what's the Hurricanes back up front row like? i.e. the front row that's playing in this game. I've not seen them play too much. A step down for sure but all the same, have improved immensely this year and have generally held their own when off the bench. The Drua however are supp...

Ban it and implement the death penalty for any smoke dealers. Re: The OFFICIAL Capt Hurricane Hurricanes vs Chiefs Thread - Super Rugby Round 8

As counter intuitive as it might seem, would the coaches be tempted to give Aiden Morgan a run at 10 instead of Cameron? Aiden is a very strong defender, and plays a good running game. Taking Love out of the backline to stiffen up the inside defence leaves gaps in the backline that Stevenson and Na...

Agreed. This is a more sensible take: The Hurricanes are the only undefeated side left after five rounds but the men from New Zealand’s capital aren’t getting ahead of themselves after going on a similar run last season. With former coach Jason Holland at the helm, the Canes started the 2023 campai...
