Re: Proposed Rugby Law Changes

Well, we had a word with tje lads at WR and said we don’t like scrums and mauls so we’ll change the rules so we can have a mark from the kick off… Nonsense. Instead, we told them we were bored today and wanted to see the ‘memories of 2003’ crowd having a wee meltdown, so let’s tinker with so...

Re: Proposed Rugby Law Changes

'winning' a penalty is not what happens... That's just meeja-speak. One side is penalised for transgressing the laws. If you allow yourself to be pushed backwards but keep within the law, then you don't get penalised. Of course any self respecting front row isn't going to allow that. Clearly teams ...

If WR want to improve the scrums IMO they should get rid of the current pat-a-cake nonsense and have the front rows fold together first before the rest of the pack bind on with no pre-bind to the front row. Also it is only on a Free Kick from the scrum. You can still win a pen from a scrum. Also it would still be an offence to deliberately concede a free kick from a scrum. I don’t think it will de power the scrum as much as feared. It prevents you from using a strength, and leads to a tap and go again...

Too many people on the pitch a lot now. The one that irks me most is when a try is scored and the subs rush in. A law should be made that of they are within 20m of a try being scored by their team it's automatically disallowed and a 5m penalty to the defending side Just don't allow them to 'warm up...

England attack is poor, they seem unable to adapt their attack to take advantage of turnovers or breaks . it almost as if we set moves to play and can only play those moves not to adapt to play what in front of them.

I wouldn't trust the current bunch of arseholes to organise a piss up in a brewery. Their recent financial management of the game as a whole has been rotten. There's a rivalry aspect which would be risky as feck, but fascinating, to expose: for me, the most intense rugby rivalries are within squads, rather than between them. Doesn't suit the genre though.
