Re: Round 2: All Blacks vs Springboks: MATCH THREAD: Sept 13

I just think that one scrum in particular was an aberration. We just weren't connected enough, and they drove through us. Overall, the scrums were very competitive, and I thought they could have been penalised several times for boring in on an angle. That was obvious. Officials are just not penalis...

The second game against Argies @ Twickers will have a home game feeling about it with normslly 30k+ Springbok supporters coming out there to back the boks whereas Aus and Nz are playing home and away.

It's hard not to think that Rassie Erasmus had already picked his teams for both tests prior to flying to NZ. Perhaps he's a crazy genius, but I would have thought that the Springboks would have benefited playing largely the same team and building cohesion? A clunky attack doesn't usually get bette...

Once again the RC is wide open. Boks will enjoy their win but can't be too complacent with the South Americans coming up. Having a fronterower coming in on Low range much earlier in the game than last week helped a great deal in the penalties dept.

No he's not on any injured list. Lood de Jager the bench choice. They could've picked R.G aswell but then they would've had a bomb squad with R.G / Franco Mostert which the ABs seems to be prepared for per their team selections.

The minutes might play a part, but more so, I think it's a deliberate decision t o target bench impact and counteract the bomb squad. There is no bomb squad. The ABs are overwhelming favourites taken the Springboks played at eden park over a 100 of years and let's face it there were Great Springbok teams and they've only won there 88 YEARS AGO. That gives one a 100-88 = 12. A miniscule small chance of 12% of the boks beating Nz at their eden park.
