Re: The best new and returning TV series of 2024?

Anyone watching 3 Body Problem? One episode in....I'm sorta hooked so far.. I am similarly in and hooked. I enjoyed it all. Though it looks like audience numbers may not be high enough to earn a second season which is a shame. I found it all boring. Kept waiting for something exciting to happen and...

Nobody with a rugby brain is going to pick BB at 10, and we all know Razor’s got a rugby brain. DMac and Perofeta as first and second choice, with Love or Sullivan in the wider squad to learn the ropes, maybe.

An accurate goal kicker in non-negotiable, IMO.

Yeah. I said to the missus that Ardie looked really tired around the 70-minute mark. As befitting a man who’s largely been carrying the team for weeks.

Years really.

Tons of South Africans on Twitter saying “White kant” is Afrikaans for “white side” and is used by Springboks to let each other know where the ball is at ruck time. Is this true? Sounds like a convincing explanation.

Dusautoir and Itoje both put in the most complete rugby performances I’ve seen in World Cup matches.

Dusautoir did it twice. What a player. I still despise Ian Smith for calling him “Thierry Henry” to his face in the post-match interview in 2011.

I really liked the France versus All Black quarter final in 2015. Just a fun game, with Julian Savea, Nehe Milner-Skudder etc. making outrageous plays with ease.

Aaron Smith’s yellow was understandable. A pretty instinctive thing. But what was Cody Taylor thinking? I don’t get why pulling down a maul would even occur to a player as a good option. You’re not going to get away with it. You’re just going to be in the bin for ten and there’s a penalty try anyway...

Fvck. Yes. A fitting affirmation of Beauden Barrett’s superb game? I'll check that out in more detail once I'm done watching replays of the Jordan try Mounga laid on. As soon as I posted that I remembered one colossal cock up by BB, but overall I thought he played really well. Rieko had some good m...

I’m pretty sure I saw him miss an early tackle that resulted in a big break for Ireland. But after that he was inspirational. That ruck turnover was a beauty. I’ve derided him on at least two forums, but he showed his worth today and then some.

It’s a yes and no. They tried 100% to win against France while keeping a lot of tricks up their sleeve for later on. Not the wrong approach in itself, but deep-seated, all-round incompetence meant they lost anyway, and are unlikely to go deep enough into the tournament to see whether these secret ta...
