Re: Banning smoking - does it make sense?
Nah, spend some time in Portland if you want to see what the "all drugs are legal" thinking takes you. Entire streets of junkies shooting themselves up in public view and harassing everyone trying to do business. I read recently they revoked that law. Unlike crack neighbourhoods in the US where the...

Re: Banning smoking - does it make sense?
I don't think this is a good idea, retailers are going to have to see proof of age for an adult wanting to buy cigarettes even if they are clearly well over 18, whereupon they'll get their one year older mate to buy them. Seems ridiculous to me.

I'm hoping white hydrogen could be the game changer. If there's enough of it in exploitable fields it will solve our energy issues at a stroke. Tell me more. Just heard a little about it. Nuclear fusion is no longer always 30 years in the future. Some big breakthroughs recently. Exciting times. Whi...

Never been totally convinced by wave energy, broadly speaking. The maths makes sense and the technology is relatively simple however the operating environment, connection process and lifecycle costs are far more complex then other simple solutions. Basically there’s easier RE technologies out there...

They didn't really change the flag though, did they? I mean despite the fact that they claimed to have done. All it is really is a design of their own invention on the back of the shirt. Something like this. When the Scottish referendum was first agreed support for independence was in the 20s. By the time they voted on it, it was up to 45%. It wasn't enough for Scotland, but a similar swing in NI would probably set the wheels in motion for an almost inevitable reunification further...
