Stunning warm & sunny afternoon in Christchurch. Wee bit of wind but perfect afternoon for a final.
Looking forward to this one. Sold out really early this week so missed tickets.

Re: The NRL catch-all thread
Was a fitting end to another great season. NRL has a brilliant product and even though I don't really like the Broncos I'm happy the title went somewhere else rather than Panthers or Storm.
Bring on 2026 already.

To give some perspective on the size of the stadium compared to the rest of the CBD

Looking westward towards the CBD

Looking North (note the southern 1/3rd is normal roofing, the northern part is clear)

Re: Bledisloe 1: All Blacks vs Wallabies: MATCH THREAD: Saturday 27th September
I wonder if they deliberately scheduled the kick off to be at the time as the AFL grand final. Wouldn't have been better to have the normal 7pm kick off and have the whole tv audience of Oz watching as there would be no NRL at that time either? Haha this shows the complete fuckery of NZR. Why not p...

Panthers v Broncos will be worthy of a Grand Final. Will be close but the pahs to edge it IMHO.

The roof and facade are now complete. Major construction, including the fit-out of the stands, landscaping works and seat installation, are on schedule to finish up by the end of the year. Attention will then turn to the comprehensive testing and commissioning programme and operator training which w...

We’re buying the Diamond package because it’ll be well used . But 40 % is nothing for those that can afford it as there’s really no comparison between the two stadiums . Are pokies still legal in NZ? I will be in West Auckland this November and would like to hit a West Auckland pub for a Lion Red and a genuine pokie session. Liked 28 Days Later Didn't think much of 28 Weeks Later Liked 28 Years later.. but strange ending... Agree. It was good, but the ending seemed like it belonged to another film and got edited in. Very odd. I guess the next one (which comes out in 2026?) will move from NE England to Scotland? Would a...

Saw F1 ' the movie' over the weekend. Surprisingly enjoyable, Brad Pitt plays Brad Pitt as the old seasoned racing warrior who is returning to F1 decades after a near fatal crash to help out his old beleaguered team manager friend and mentor the rookie hothead other driver. Great visuals and amazin...

Football fans are seeing more football than ever before. And it’s never been more unpredictable. As the finals approach, the NRL is celebrating the end of a regular season in which there has been an average of 56 minutes of ball in play. That’s the highest figure on record – more than a minute incr...

That was an amazing come back by Josh Allen and his crew. The 49ers finish was great to watch as well. Lots of games down to the wire. Yea a very good first week of action. Today's game should be great as well. I had the Bills to win but switched over when it was 40-25 with 5 mins left in the 4th. ...
