Re: World Schools Festival, Thailand - 11-18 December
I realise that you'd love to believe your own horsesh1te; however, unfortunately for you, there is this thing called the internet, which provides the facts. For starters, Christchurch (who "haven't been good since 2010") played in the Crusaders region final in 2019 and made your country's top four ...

Re: World Schools Festival, Thailand - 11-18 December
And the fact is that Hamilton had their 2022 1st XV at this tournament and were still tested by a team a year below them with almost no experience at 1st XV level. You claim this is just an excuse (it is but it’s obviously a valid one) and then explain away the significance of previous results. I’m...

Re: World Schools Festival, Thailand - 11-18 December
Err...the last time SA schools played NZ schools when all the teams were the same age and it was during the rugby season was in 2019. The results were as follows: Glenwood (SA) 32 v John McGlashan (NZ) 17 Boland Landbou (SA) 30 Napier Boys (NZ) 25 Grey College (SA) 73 Christchurch BHS (NZ) 26 Paul ...

Much bigger? It’s men vs boys the other way around. Not surprising given its apparently an u18 vs an u17 team. Also the NZ u19 team played a bunch of scratch provincial sides :? Excuses are just engrained into you at birth in SA?? I knew there would be rubbish about ages etc. Just for reference, th...

Yes you have no idea. He did well against France but was lucky to keep his spot. Definitely wasn't peak Savea. Nominated for World Player of the Year in 2014. But not at his peak? So when was peak Savea? And who should have replaced him? I'm talking about 2015. My comment was Piutau last played for...

Julia was shit in 2015 onwards. Huge drop in form. Still made the ABs though abd won it. Are you seriously doubling down on this comment? Also was he being jerked around selection wise by Hansen at the time? If you're the incumbent starting player your earnings must be significantly higher and a lot more secure then players that are in and out of the playing 23. As good as he was I don't think he had nailed down the starting position...

Yep. But its the difference between having a legacy and being rich. He will always be a 'what if' rather than a great. Just for context, none of the AB's that played for a number of years are particularly poor. Good investment or buying property at the right time would have nearly made the same amo...

Giteau was definitely world class inside centre, was there a better 12 in world rugby from '03 to '15 ? Jauzion, Nonu would be in the conversation but given he could kick I'd take Giteau over both. Yes, there were quite a few better than him in that timeframe. If you chose him over those 2 your tea...

One way of looking at it, but I bet his earned a shitload more playing club rugby for Bristol than he would have in NZ. He definitely did not waste his earning potential. He did the right thing by his family in maximising his income but he clearly wasted his talent by not being available for test r...

Re: In the last decade, why have England done better Vs the All Blacks than Springboks?
Despite NZ being objectively better, or at worst no worse than South Africa at any given point time? It seems like whenever England as South Africa play, it's never in doubt SA will win. England Vs All Blacks however seems to be a 50 50 toss of the coin. Since 2012 when England upset the All Blacks...

How does David Havili’s test caps as of 2022 have anything to do with being an uncapped noob in 2017? As pointed out.. in 2017, four of the backline were uncapped... he had a pretty raw squad with a sprinkling of experience in the pack... But we don't care do we? We want overseas sides to think of ...

Nick Evans at 10. He was much better than Cipriani but unfortunately spent his time on the bench behind Carter or playing 15.
Brussow was hard done by. Much better than Francois Louw but Meyer wanted size.
Samu Manoa would have looked good in a top International team.

Giteau was a world class 12 and a ‘good’ flyhalf. From the mind that thinks Ikitau is one of the best 13's in Wallabies history and world class. Giteau was not world class! Giteau was a huge talent, but I recall the board aussies raging because he always crabbed sizeways. Strangely he played some of his most consistent rugby outside Wilkinson at Toulon. I have to agree. Giteau did a few good things every now and then and made some amazing plays but i feel he is hugely...

Horan, Latham, Burke, Tune, Mortlock, Giteau. A lot of my favourite players came around during the from the 90s ish on to the early 00s continuity. Most of those are greats of the game. Burke is my favourite fullback. Giteau just couldn't deliver consistently in the big games. Unlike the others you...

I don't get the obsession with Razor. Zero international credibility, and has only really presided over settled teams absolutely chock full of talent. Ardie scored more tries against Ireland than VDF scored all year. More running meters, post contact meters, Line breaks, assists, Line out takes, more turnovers. The only stat VDF beats him in is tackles made! He had a great year sure, but Ardie was another level.

Re: Rassie Erasmus and Springbok fans in general are a pack of whiney sore losers
The “spent England” narrative is also strange considering they’d played less games in the tournament and had an extra day of rest before the final. They weren’t pushed all that hard in their semi either. Spent mentally. You have to put everything into beating the AB's and most teams cant get up to ...

Great year for Ireland. Well deserved number 1 spot. I dont think they will win the world cup though after this end of year series. Sexton wont stay fit for 7 weeks in a row. Thought Mounga was shit, missed kicks for touch, territorial kicking was poor, passes to no one and backline completely directionless. Savea is the best player on the planet currently and throughout the year and probably last year too! Ridiculous list. You are just so unbelievably arrogant, and skynheilig. That word fits you just so perfectly. Arrogant is what a lot of people think about SA rugby fans. Skynheilig is 100% the perfect term for you lot! Look at the games I mentioned and have a think about the fallout, or lack thereof, post those losses. Lions series, RWC semi and Irish series are high profile occasions. No whinging close to what you guys achieve for a shitty end of year tour loss to...

Pivac, or the next coach, needs to do a John Toshack. Get rid of the old guard. I mean the whole lot. Bring in some fresh blood. We may lose, it may be bleak for a few years, but let’s lose with a purpose. All for the greater good. If I was in charge I would retire AWJ, Dan Biggar, Tipuric, Ken Owe...
