Re: Why are ozzies such porkers?
It's all about the lack of exercise.
When I was a teen, I worked a summer job that required lots of physical work. I ate 2 huge meals each night at around 5pm and 11pm, and I was in the best shape of my life.

I read that the industrious, hard-working Northern Irish have one of the fastest vaccination rates in the world. Whereas the Republic of Irish aren't vaccinating as quickly. What's causing the difference?

I wasn't clear that Lemon understood the EU, especially in suggesting that "the EU" was about widening the labour pool to accommodate business at the expense of workers. The widening of the labour pool is a result of the SM. If his analysis is limited to German workers' pay (and UK, French, Dutch, ...

Re: OFFICIAL Brexit Thread
Just to be clear, it was the UK that insisted on that , really put its foot down and refused to budge against the wishes of, among others, Germany and France. The British press presented this as being forced on the UK by the EU (even though it was the other way around) so the UK then wanted to be a...

You've certainly got the EU wrong. It came about in the aftermath of WW2. It's objective was to tie in France and Germany, and further members, to closer economic ties (especially steel that was essential to armaments) such as to render another European war unthinkable. There has never since been a...

Re: OFFICIAL Brexit Thread
As an outsider, it seems crazy to me that EU supporters think it's some kind of paradise for worker's rights and fair living. It's not, it exists so that Western Europe businesses can continue to have access to a larger labour force. In the 90s it was realised that the shrinking populations and high...

Cricket.... 4 countries. Guaranteed medalist from selection of same 4 countries. It's what puts 7s ahead of cricket. So what? They still have cycling (UK), gymnastics (USA), diving (China), basketball (USA) even though the winners for those are almost always the same countries. It would be much mor...

No. Anyone who agrees is probably living a very comfortable middle-class life in a country that mostly has very few problems. There's a reason why people in power want social media anonymity to end- makes it easier to control populations. Events like the Arab Spring happened because of social media....
