I'd be fine with this. Provided that there is no chance of the Sharks putting together a team, it would make sense to give the Cheetahs a crack at the semi.

Re: Best place in the world to swim/kayak with dolphins?
I'm just back from the coast and there are plenty of dolphins off the north coast of Kenya, especially Malindi or Watamu. Thanks to the drop in tourists and pollution, they are now very close to shore. That area is protected by a reef off shore so the waters are quite calm, so you can go quite far o...

Re: The Running Thread
A (very nice) client of mine took me into the Nike store and told me to pick myself a pair of running shoes. Came down to the Pegasus or the Free 3.0 Ended up going for the Free based on my positive experience with the Free 5.0. Quite amazing shoes, but as I do mostly trail running I won't get to us...

I have a feeling this is all related to the USA expats who want to buy WP. The press are reporting that they are now also talking to the Sharks about buying in and you also have Kolisi rumours flying around. My feeling is this is being used to put pressure on WP to accept the offer. It is an old ne...

Due to the high numbers of asymptomatic cases here, the government has rolled out a "care from home" program and it has emptied the hospitals and quarantine centres. It was worked quite well, considering the experts seem to think we're going to get hit in August.

It depends what you mean by English. A citizen of England, yes. Ethnically English, no. It's not difficult to work out. If those definitions are laid out at the start of a debate, then it avoids a lot of confusion and potential offence. That may have been the case 50 years ago, but not anymore. For...

Spending money on decor is straight out of the how to lose money book. Keep it plain and simple and let teh food do the talking. Yes and no. Ja those numbers on domestic abuse make for frightening reading. When I lived in Dubai you used to have to apply for a alcohol license. There was a cap on your monthly spend that was directly linked to your salary. Those earning under a certain salary couldn't buy booze. It's a very draconian system...

There was an interesting article in a local paper about Baden-Powell, whose grave is in a small town called Nyerti north of Nairobi and something of a mecca for boy scouts.
