Re: It would appear the real final was the other semi-final
Nah. The English side of the draw was like SAS selection - the lads were almost dead at the end of it. The SA side of the draw was more like a series of arranged boxing matches against sub-par opponents. Finals are all about who's got most left in the emotional and physical tank for those last 80 m...

The English Scrum.
As someone who played all positions in the front row.
I HAVE NO IDEA
Disclaimer: I have no idea about scrums.
Brainstorm:
- first hit
- go under opposition prop
- 8 man push.
I have no idea. It doesn't work.

Cheika is trying to run over teams with Allatoaa, Sio, Hanigan, Simmons, etc in the pack. I am sure they’re nice blokes but they are teddy bears playing Cheika ball. Re: Australian Rugby 2019 official thread
The problem with Cheika is that there's no innovation/genius. He's just good getting the team to do the basics right. The game plan was clear to see 2nd half vs Argies. Forward hit ups then go wide, repeat. It worked because the forwards went past the advantage line. When they don't it doesn't work....

The thing with the Pooper is that it was never a complete failure. They're both brilliant players, and at times it's looked fantastic and worked well. Fardy certainly was a great fit for balance, but he didn't add enough carrying in an already light backrow. If I was a selector, I'd start 6. Dempse...

A player agent told me last night that Dave Rennie is first in line to take over from Cheika next year. Could do worse as a one season hire ... Whoever lands the gig only has to win 31% to generate a year-on-year improvement! There will be some very good coaches available. They’re not all going to ...
