Re: How can WR stop teams slowing down games?
I'm not sure there is a better answer than to simply play on a man down, Yep, get it moving. and if there's a scrum and it's a front rower down offer the attacking captain the choice to wait or play on with an unopposed scrum, Nah, the guiding motive should be for the game to be a contest. If said ...

Really hope we can win this one with some style. The Southern Slam is the rarest feat in modern international rugby, having been achieved just 9 times and by only 2 teams in the 25 seasons on the competition. By comparison, the much heralded European Grand Slam has been won a whopping 13 times by 4 ...

The “separating the art from the artist” cliche usually works much more comfortably with musicians than, say, filmmakers or comedians. You can easily tap your foot along to Zeppelin (fvcked teens), Bowie (fvcked teens), Ike Turner (victimised his wife) etc as their work doesn't often allude to those...

The idea that SA should have won in 2011 is the most ridiculous on here, closely followed by England in 1991. The Boks scraped past Samoa and Wales and would have been penalized out of the QF for their porpoise flopping and thuggery by a stronger ref than Lawrence.

We have too many young loosies with huge potential and I doubt the selectors have a real idea of how to fit them all in and create a truly balanced backrow. Each game another one puts up his hand for continued honours while another slips down the picking order, and it shouldn't surprise that there's...

We're not talking about isolated incidents. We're talking about a team that tactically makes a half of rugby last an hour to give their players a chance to have a breather and a drink every 5 minutes because they can't play at pace and last a full game. You are talking through your arse here. Every...

One of the front rowers, might have been Marx, went down after a scrum in the second half. The ref was clearly frustrated with further time wasting but then said something like "actually it might be serious".
It wasn't.

Brilliant idea to play flat in extreme humidity with the ball as slippery as a sweaty eel and the Boks flying up like kamikazes in defence. Look at the replay after the try is scored. He gets the sun in his face just as he's trying to catch it. I’ve watched it several times on YouTube and as I said, He doesn’t jump, he misjudged it badly and overruns it. The sun is at his back so any light to dark affect is minimal. The sun isn’t in hi...

We missed 14 tackles, conceded 23 turnovers and lost 4 line outs. Surely you can't pin this all on GB. Can pin the Springbok try on him, definitely. I agree. No particular complaints. I think it is a sensible team with a few minor tweaks to the "A" team picked against the Wobs to combat the Boks strengths (i.e. Jacobson over Papalii to add some extra size , and Bridge over Reece for his high-ball skills). If I were being picky, I'd have Vai'i and Ennor ...
