American here, What are gun laws? Absolutely none allowed unless hunting Nah, not at all. It's pretty easy to get a gun if you want to in Australia. My mates has a bunch of them in a safe. What would happen if you carried one downtown or the cops found one in your car? Assume you had a licence.
