The BOE had one job and the figure was 2%. Pity I can’t vote for the next Andrew Bailey. Given energy imports and Brexit sterling is broadly in line with the rest of the world. No interest rate policy in the world could get inflation to 2% for what is supply and not demand side inflation. Brexit ex...

The ruble is non-tradeable so can't be used to buy imports but it still has to be propped up internally through massive central bank intervention. The only way to really do that is to purchase rubles with dollars and euros to artificially inflate the value. So the valuable tradeable currency disapp...

Propping up the ruble for the most part and paying crazy money to anyone who will sign a military service contract. But is that where the foreign reserves are going? I guess it makes sense to use USD and Euros to buy Rubles, right? Thanks. The ruble is non-tradeable so can't be used to buy imports ...

End the sanctions on Russian oil and gas we will see the price plummet AND provide less money to fund Russia’s war. Oil prices have an ‘instant’ and significant impact to inflation. Definitely positives to be taken from it. Little bit of inexperience cost us at times. I think the drop goal should have been worked through another phase or two to make the kick easier. If Munster can survive that Toulouse pack they can hurt in the backs even with Murray's slow play but Jesus that's a really big if.
