Just watched the highlights. That not a victory ffs  That LBW  Stokes reckons that the DRS got it wrong... the ball flicked his front pad first, which made it appear the ball turned. I've just come back from watching it. There is no Imax cinema in Perth so I'm guessing it was that fact that rendered my enjoyment of the movie as a spectacle completely null and void. My Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge got pilfered, so I bought a Moto G4 Plus to get me by until I can update to the Galaxy S8.

The Moto has really impressed me, so much so I doubt I'll bother updating to the S8.

Re: The all new Photography thread - post your best efforts

The missus wants to splash out on a $600 camera for documenting our little ones. Is it worth it when we both have iPhone 6s's? At what price point of a camera does it really make a difference in photo quality over a phone? Should we just be focusing (yes, I know) on getting better with what we have...

I think everyone's experience with mental illness is different. In my worst state I was convinced that I was a burden on my family and they would be far better off without me. Done England. Worthy winners of the game and series. Thought both Billy and Mako had good games; your forwards really climbed into ours when they had to. It was a very complete, cohesive team effort, particularly impressive after a long season in a dead rubber. The Wobblies just didn't have that sam...

Re: Bad Parenting forces Rare Gorilla to be Killed

As Sinkers pointed out, The Zoo's priority is keeping the animals in. No, the Zoo's priority is to operate a safe environment. That means keeping animals and people apart from both directions Primary is keeping animals in, then comes keeping people out. Which yet again they have done for nearly 40 ...

To varying degrees of success, parents typically undergo an internal risk assessment process whenever they are in charge of their youngsters. In the Bristol Zoo scenario any reasonable parent would assess the likelihood of their cherub climbing the easily climbable fence and, at best, falling in the...

Probably not the "best", but the novel that I most enjoyed reading was "Piece of Cake" by Derek Robinson. Also enjoyed, in an uncomfortable, squirmy way, "The Treatment" by Mo Hayder. For the battley types, Don't Cry For Me, Sergeant Major by Hands and McGowen is a good read, and, for me at least, a...

The Lawes tackle was fine technicaly. The aim of it is clearly not. Lawes clearly tackles players to injure them. He has serious form for this. The targeting of small halfback that Lawes does is surely against the spirit of the game. There is no other reason he flies in like that other than to inju...
