Re: Irish arrogance stuns Springbok stars
Odd for a team that says it 'out of respect to the other team', it doesn't seem to have been mentioned to Tonga or Romania.... Perhaps because they would have more seen it as a sign of mockery as they had absolutely no chance to make the RWC final contrary to SA? Some people have really huge proble...

Re: NZ Politics Thread
I’m getting more and more saddened by our Prime Ministers lack of support for the Crusaders a team he’s passionately supported since a wee boy . I do realise that he’s now a very busy man but the buggers gone completely silent ! True fans stick with their teams even through the hard times , I’m seri...

Re: Irish arrogance stuns Springbok stars
But was it really arrogance to say something as absolute ? Remembering that after being thrashed by a Dan Carter lead AB team in the pool , the French said exactly the same thing ; and it seemed that the AB’s believed them. The difference perhaps being that they backed up the statement with actions...

Re: Bands you are off to see live
Went to a fantastic concert last night at the Lincoln centre in New York. Duke Ellington at 125 with the Jazz at Lincoln Centre Orchestra , and it was brilliant. I’d grown up with Jazz through my Grand Dad and Dad , but now realise why Granddad loved Duke so much . Far more sophisticated and difficu...

Re: Irish arrogance stuns Springbok stars
Even when they hadn’t beaten us , the bravado was over the top .
I watched with about a dozen Irish fans and trust me confidence was their one shared attribute.
Even though they were gutted after they were extremely sporting . We brought them a few pints .

Re: Irish arrogance stuns Springbok stars
this faux modesty is hilarious It is , especially when every Irish fan is run into before the 1/4 seemed disproportionately confident of dealing to the AB’s . Not having to make an effort hell no , but because if the monkey finally being off their backs after so many decades of loses ; almost overc...

Does anyone think that ACT wouldn’t be pushing exactly the same austerity measures if the economy wasn’t in this ‘ catastrophic ‘ state ? Cause I’m pretty certain that they would be , and by the looks of this dynamic National might happily enable them. It’s due to this commonality of their ideologie...

Re: NZ Politics Thread
Sure , but you can’t tell me that the government loved this little poll .
Almost unique in contemporary political history given its only 6mths into their term .
I can’t think of any new government that had slipped so quickly , surely this poll must be an aberration ?
It’s simply too soon .

Verian was the first to predict a 3-headed monster for the government so I guess they have it right. But... it means absolutely nothing at this point. A government has had time to make plans but not action them. Probably pointless taking a poll in the first year of a government. Why ? Perceptions a...

I can’t believe he’s so underrated . Best form of his life - leadership alone ! He's begrudged due to his off field indiscretion. There is a major problem with violence against women in NZ and Aus. Women die fairly regularly from male violence in both countries. Which unlike many others he faced up...

 The sheer luxury of not automatically choosing Tele’a and Reece, who’d both be in the top 5 wingers in the world imo. Both weak defensively missing alot of tackles. Great on attack though. Sevu Reece has always been an excellent defender, and very strong defensively at the breakdown. Reece ...

Of course the fact that compared with fed farmers and groundswell I'm a raving lunatic enviro greenie probably means my opinion is worth jack. But I do think there's a fair percentage of farmers just getting on with trying to do the right thing the right way. They're just pretty quiet about it. Fro...

In fact it was the right decision and decisive.
The explanation however was very muddled.
Why you think your post clever is a little confusing, I never argued that it was a weak action .
