Weight limits by position are really not the answer. You just end up with more lopsided mismatches in open play, especially nowadays with front rowers that can carry a lot of weight without losing too much mobility. Someone like Taniela Tupou becomes the new Lomu if half the opposition is regulated...

It’s possible a front five of opensides would generate more dynamic hitting power. It’s a genie that will never be put back in the bottle, once people saw Lomu running over players it was all over. Front rows would still have to scrummage properly. They would still have to train differently to back...

If you reduce a player's weight then you massively reduce the energy in the collisions and it's the collisions that are causing the proble...

It was the perfect denument to the game. Exeter were stupid throughout not kicking points in the first half, then scoring right in the corner at the end. Ref allowed a lot of stuff at the breakdown, which is fine, but it's not conducive to a good watch on a pitch like that in the rain As a chiefs f...

Fullback jumps up to catch a highball he knows that if he gets touched when in the air then he wins a penalty. Winger going in for a try now knows if he jumps over the tryline then he can't be tackled and if he is then it's a penalty try and YC anyway. Jumping into a tackle is one of the really old ...
