Re: Harvey Weinstein’s New York Rape Conviction Overturned on Appeal

'Disturbing trend' of verdicts being overturned - dissenting judge In a sharp dissent, Judge Madeline Singas said the decision "perpetuates outdated notions of sexual violence" and makes holding defendants accountable for sexual assault "significantly more difficult". She also accused the majority ...

Can someone who’s been following this explain what he actually did and why it’s been overturned? Technicality. Brought on by a desire to be excessively judicious. Case in point:

I remember when Kwagga was considered a fringe player, not worthy of full Bok status

Now, they want his face on every Million-Rand note in circulation

There are times to lock the drinks cabinet. This is one of those times.

I genuinely think Saffas should be banned from posting on these types of threads
They are ridiculously biased and incapable of reviewing talent on its merits.
Of course, this bias is well-meaning, innocent and heartfelt, but it still makes for shit analysis

Correct. I thought the point of a limited liability company was to limit liability. That's why I don't get why the directors are liable for the tax bill. Is it because the directors allowed it to trade while it was insolvent? https://insolvency.pwc.com.au/singleEntityCases/melbourne-rebels-rugby-un...

As a general statement..

Those wishing to replace the USD as the reserve currency should (in all fairness) suggest another currency they’d prefer to have their life savings pegged to.

US Treasuries are the world’s most trusted instruments. Every portfolio in the investment world would carry them. They go up, they go down. They’re not going away anytime soon. Great, so this package signals the new reality. The Russians are committed to achieving pre-1991 territory and we have to drain the tank to defend Europe. Happy days. What's the deal with the directors being personally liable for the Rebels tax bill? Yeah, just looking at that article posted above, it seems like the Rebels future is far from assured. There are two legal battles, against RA and the ATO, that have to be won by the Rebels before this deal happens. ...
