I thought Lomax might be rested for this. But alas, we have a juicy front row match up! 8)

Yes, the the 9-10 axis is a problem but i don't think Havilli is helping. His injury might be a blessing in diguise. :((

Re: SRP R6 - Highlanders v Hurricanes - Game of the round?

Rayasi has me excited and frustrated in equal measure. He did some scintillating stuff last weekend, and some dumb shit. Overall though, the good outweighed the bad. A couple of season ago, I was livid he was not getting more starts. Then when he actually started games last year... I've gone a bit ...

Re: SRP R6 - Highlanders v Hurricanes - Game of the round?

Lomax probably due to be rested. So we might miss out on that battle.

Canes will need to tighten up 2nd half Defence and are probably not going to get the same platform of quick ball that they got last week.

Re: Hurricanes 2024. The Midget is gone!

...A stern test awaits against the Chiefs down the line, but the Canes pack has already dismantled two of the better packs in New Zealand. The surface value stat of scrum wins by the Hurricanes doesn’t reflect how utterly dominant they have been this year. They’ve put the squeeze on and seen opposi...

Rather settled squad, good depth. Hardly any injuries.

Chiefs, then Drua and Brumbies away will show were we are really at.

My only concern is this start has given Ogre a heart attack. He's been MIA.

Looking at that Rebels team again, the nerves did a wee spike. They're not mugs. Yeah, I was surprised by the number of changes. no respect given. Hope it doesn't blow up in their face. Many of the players they brought in are first choice. There’s a few for sure. 3 old heads combining for that try.

I think Lakai has a bigger frame than Ardie and he is certainly bigger than Ardie was over his first few seasons. We can probably also expect to see Lakai put on a few more Kgs of muscle over next season or two.

Loosie selections will be interesting. With Iose, Flanders, Shields, Kirifi and Lakai all available, Lakai is possibly the best Bench option, covering 7 and 8, but Shields covers 6 and 8, and can play Lock. I'd like to see Shields, Flanders and Kirifi start. You gotta wonder if there is a place for...
