Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Yeah McCann can do a great job for ulster at6 or 8 but he is not likely to get international honours there. Can ulster afford to shunt him to 7 though when they are lacking in ball carriers already? He’s not likely to get many international caps, imo. The quality of other options there is just frea...

Selfishly, I'd like to see our coaching team left untouched for another year or two. But I can see both Leamy and Prendergast being of interest for that gig. Both fairly senior at Munster. Would that not be a bit of a sideways move, at best, for either? I'm not sure how it works to be honest - I'd ...

Jenkins has been very good lately alright. Although the lineout was rubbish after Molony went off against NH. It's a tough call with everyone fit.

So if Leinster was to pick its quickest backline just on pace (been quite 1 paced recently) reckon it would be nearly as quick as any in Europe, 10 is where I struggle and a couple out of position. 9 JGP 10 Prendergast (Maybe Harry) 11 Russell 12 JOB 13 Ringrose/Turner 14 TOB 15 Keenan Frawley at 10.
