Re: Money in Argentina

Go to BA frequently. Credit card companies charge close to 18% so very few places take credit cards. ATMs allow a Max of 80 Euro and charge between 8 and 14%. Bring cash. Either USD or Euros and change it in one of the hundreds of change houses. Official and unofficial (where you get a better rate -...

Re: Irishers - Golf Courses + Stag

Glasson in Westmeath, great hotel, great food, great golf course and they have a new golf academy there which is probably the best long and short game area in the country.
Also lots of stuff for non golfers - boats, fishing, equestrian etc.

My niece grew up in Germany - So her Dad spoke English to her, but she responded in German, When my Mum came to visit when she was 2, my brother explained to her that when grandma was there she had to speak in English, "Do you understand" - "Ja Genau". So picks up my Mum at the airport - driving out...

Re: Turkey Itinerary Advice Needed

Lived in Ankara for 4 years. Love Turkey and the turks. Ankara is not a tourist destination, but if you do go there are a lot of people who would be very welcoming to a westmeath man. Go to Kas. Go to Izmir. Go to Istanbul Go to Capadocia. Goreme is cool, but there are so many other small villages a...
