Re: Kurt Beale arrested for alleged sexual assault…
There's a not-hard-to-spot pattern re Beale's poor behaviour. AFAIK, copious amounts of piss were a - or the - major ingredient in each instance that became public knowledge*. He seems to be a fella who should not under any circumstances let himself get hammered. * Not 100% sure he was cúnted when ...

If there was a draft, I wouldn't want a full draft, you'd have like x number of protected players and the rest go into the draft. Bit shit if the star Queensland school boy never plays for the Reds etc. Imagine a teenager is sent to another country straight out of school? What problem is a draft th...

Re: Listen to your body
How many years ago was his heart attack? I guess he had surgery and that he is now alright. 1.5 years ago now. He had a stent put in, but I guess he builds up blockages easily so will likely need more as he grows older and other tubes block up. I don't know if its mental or physical, but he doesn't...

My friend had a heart attack aged 33. Was fit, ran half marathons etc, not overweight at all. Just bad genetics. Turns out his grandfathers on both sides died in their 40s. His dad is fine, but his uncle died in his 40s too. All of heart attacks. He thought staying fit could fight it off, but nope....

Re: SUPER 10
The problem is the business model. NZ’s SR teams are beholden to NZR, who give them an allowance and rules to abide by with. Their primary role is to produce All Blacks. There is a lot of truth in that. My fixes: - Free player movement between all Super rugby sides (even if it means players switch ...

I think Farva already mentioned it, but one of the biggest mistakes governments made was pouring money into subsidise rooftop solar. Would have been better to pour that money into proper solar plants. Better efficiencies with angles etc and the grid is set up for it. It wasn't set up for power comin...

I get it and not trying to have a go at you. The problem is that you and others are pre-programmed to think this way and its a huge issue, as it shouldnt be the automatic response in this part of the world. And people like Rachel Riley posting what she did, reinforces that. And there are real world...

The Big Chungus also has another rape trial to attend in Toowoomba. This risk is hes so infamous now that an impartial jury might be hard to find. Sounds like we just need to assume he's guilty and we should lock him up. Its only fair. He got away with rape, so even if he didn't do this o...

Re: Banning smoking - does it make sense?
Yeah because no one dies of drug use now that they are banned. But accessing the drugs is much harder so fewer people become addicts. FYI, Im not a fan of banning but rather a fan of higher taxes on it , and then using that money on programs to assist people who do smoke to give up. Same as ...

Re: Banning smoking - does it make sense?
Stupid decision. I am an avowed non-smoker, but such a ban would have the opposite effect with an unregulated Black Market. There is also the precedent of the state deciding that if something is not good for you, they can ban it. Which leads to the question, what would be next? Fancy a beer, anyone...

Re: Banning smoking - does it make sense?
I am not a smoker but I wonder if such a ban will only strengthen mafia and other criminal groups in pushing these sales to the black market - similar to what Prohibition did with alcohol. Yeah, it won't work. Just like banning alcohol didn't work, and banning drugs has only lead to the situation i...

There's just so much to unpack here... I don't think you can mandate what positions bench players can pay, aside from the front row for player safety. Tbh, South Africa didn't win the RWC final because of the bomb squad, they won in spite of it. I thought the All Blacks' pack gained the ascendency in the 2nd half, and the rotation of fo...
