The fact that his theories in 1995 have continued to gain credibility certainly helps. Hard, legit science now proves - Denisovan DNA links in Australian and North American indigenous people. Which war had the best soundtrack?

Vietnam is obviously at short odds, but there's been some pretty damn good soundtracks along the years.

Napoleonic era would be a good shout, though Iraq 1 would be up there as well. Can't imagine the Hundred year war would be too stimulating, it'd have to be pretty recent

So, 20-0 to the Chinese? If you believe the Chinese about the 0. Or about anything. Edit: I wouldn’t trust any government about anything. My inbuilt racial prejudice leads me to suspect that the Chinese military would whoop the Indians but I have nothing to base this on. Are the Indian military fam...

Too young to have experienced him live with any real understanding, but it doesn't matter.

Shame - BA is actually not too bad of a timezone. Evening games there are on at a very watchable mid morning in Aus and NZ - Wouldn't mind getting up one or two mornings a season to catch a game, but 3am in SA is very different. Would love to see them retained so all the progress Argentina have made...

RA atm I think have 80% of the right stuff in place. The top level management is still a civil war, but some decent stuff has been put in place recently. The U20 and Schoolboy success is a good indicator of the quality systems put in place in recent years. 3/4 SR teams were doing well and being more...

Californication has a good one - Karen. Total plum. Hank gets all the shit, but she's the one who's cheated on every man she's been with, keeps taking him back then breaking him off again because she's a bitch. Gets shitty at him for bedding hot birds when he's single, because she broke it off, again.

Re: Rugby Australia crisis after financial deficit of $9.4 m

It seems pretty simple - let the SA SR sides play in Euro championships, NZ and Aus have a 10 team home and away round robin comp, top 4 finals series. Straight into June NH tour, then RC from July onward . Japan and the PI's are in the right timezone to add to that trans tasman comp, so it could be...

Considering we might be getting a trans tasman bubble soonish, if that happened in time what would stand in the way of getting a 10 team trans tasman SR comp going? I think it's the uncertainty. Considering we might be getting a trans tasman bubble soonish, if that happened in time what would stand in the way of getting a 10 team trans tasman SR comp going? Considering it's likely we'll be opening up a trans tasman bubble at some point soon, if that has happened by July then surely this could be expanded to included the kiwi SR sides, and get a 10 team comp going?

How would Fed bonds work in an MMT economy? Wouldn't they just become pointless? pretty much, but they are already close to useless now. They're pretty useful: the central bank buys them to perform quantitative easing and sells them to raise debt income. Without bonds the economy would soon stop. T...

Re: Anyone into archery and/or bow-hunting?

Using a compound, hitting the 10 ring from 30-40m is reasonably easy. A few months of (quite frequent) training and you'll be able to hit what you need to from <50m. That's about 20% of what's required for hunting deer etc - you need to get close enough for that shot, and that's the hard bit - also ...
