Re: The Wine Thread
I am in Portugal right now and have tasted the local red wines, i.e. Alentejo, and nothing really good yet. I thought that in this PR thread I could get good advice regarding which Alentejo to buy or possibly from another region. Nick from Lisbon and others will know Portuguese wines better than me...

Re: Largest US drug seizure in history - $1.3 billion of coc
I worked for over ten years for a Greek shipowner who openly referred to MSC as the Mafia Shipping Company and regularly stated their business was the transport of cocaine.
When I read the title my immediate thought was is MSC involved.

Re: The Wine Thread
Was in Galicia last summer and had an enjoyable week tasting various albarinos. My wife bought two magnums of Mar de Frades based on the fact she liked the colour of the bottles and I have to say I was a little underwhelmed by the wine in comparison to others when we got round to drinking it. Coinci...

You make a very good point even if by accident. One of the reasons we should jetison the UK talks is to focus on day to day business. This Brexit nonsense is taking up far too much of our time to be worth continuing with the farce. This IS Brexit business. The EU is trying to take control of all Eu...

Did my first 10k in my mid forties in 53 mins. I was 55 at Easter and now cannot get under an hour. My decline has been very steady at around 1 minute a year as are my 2K row times at 10 seconds a year (I cant get under 8 minutes any more). My weight has been a fairly constant 80kg over this period....

The real question is why doesn't the 2nd largest city in England have a team in the Premier League? Well it's got West Brom, which is practically Birmingham with Villa and Birmingham City in the Championship (for now) Plus Villa gets huge crowds even as they play in the second tier. Also both Villa...
