Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
I'm beginning to think Luke Fitz punditry is designed to lure morons into placing properly stupid bets in bookies/online gambling. There's not much else which could explain it. He wasn't concussed often enough as a player. I've several different mates who know him well enough and he's always come a...

May was brilliant yesterday, fielded the ball like a top class fullback. Didn't think he had that rounded a game.
Don't think anyone would have lived with England yesterday, they were excellent in every facet.

England have been very good, May and Farrell my picks for MOTM. Ireland haven't had a look in, territory stats won't be pretty.

Re: We need to talk about Rob
Does anyone think Schmidt has actually watched this or any of the games on the weekend? I would be stunned if an obsessive like Schmidt hadn’t. Whether it will make a difference is another question. Well he didn't watch Zebo banging in the tries for Munster in his first year . I'd say his obsession...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
I'd go Conway as well. His defensive ability puts him some way ahead of others for me. We have a clutch of back three players who are good - excellent in an attacking sense, but defensive lapses in waiting still. If it's not Senior, then whomever it is needs a run there, to bed in defensively. I th...

When Costello came back into the Ireland team around 2002/03 he'd sorted out his work rate. Good portion of his career was wasted. I'd say of all the players that have played for Ireland he's still the one I'd shit myself the most having to tackle head on.... Maybe Kevin blockhead Maggs too.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Tom Court was a good LH, definitely a step below Healy/McGrath but still a good player. He'd probably lose out to Kilcoyne as Kilcoyne brings a lot of dynamism but he was well able to scrummage (at LH) and do the other basics of the job well. Unfair he's remembered for that Twickenham reaming, he wa...

Not against their return to a province, but you can be damn sure they’ll never don an Irish jersey again. The IRFU would open themselves up to all sorts of law suits if they did. The Exeter Castres game is a good watch, quality isn’t great but it’s 100 miles an hour. Can understand sponsors not wan...

It's great, I have a smart Sony TV but run everything through the Chromecast regardless. Has more apps that work through it and just seems less buggy a lot of the time. It powers itself from a USB port so if your TV has one you don't need to plug into mains.

Leinster have themselves to blame, haven't seen such poor discipline in a long long time.
No intent on the Lowe incident but that's the law. First time in three games a cast iron red card decision went Munster's way tbf.
In good news, Liverpool are making Arsenal their playthings.

Both are all time Irish greats. Woodie was the best player in his position in the world for a good chunk of his career (imo), I wouldn't say Best has been despite being a ligind. Wood was a highlight reel player partly because for a huge portion of his career he was the only player in a green jersey...

Don't know if it was seen on the screen but I was behind the posts at match yesterday. Looked to me like Kearney got elbowed in the head by a bath player pretty blatantly right in front of TJ. If ref had looked at it I reckon it would have been a red.

Joined around 2006 (Fark me), I think planet rugby used to be advertised on the hoardings in Landsdowne Road. Post a hell of a lot less now. Highlights of the board were Mullets ongoing feud with Ketrim and Willie "no smoke without fire" Von Duggan, that was probably the guts of 10 years ago now. Di...

Would like to see McCall come back to Ulster for a rebuilding job, would be a tougher gig than Sarries but they have begun to turn a lot more good young players through their academy under his watch.
