Re: Wallabies vs B&I Lions - 1st Test - OFFICIAL!!!!!

Telegraph… whose exclusives are always bang on… have leaked bits of the lions team. No Pollock but he apparently was very very close to making it. No Farrell, Marcus Smith makes it to the bench. Backrow is: Chessum Curry Conan My telegraph says beirne, curry, conan? With Chessum on the bench When I...

Re: USA vs England

No offense to USA fans but I'm hoping for a fair bit of rotation. If Atkinson plays 10 he needs experience around him. USA losing at home to Spain for them is a bad result considering historically they'd win that easily. Something like this? 1. Rodd 2. Langdon 3. AOF 4. Coles 5. CCS 6. Underhill 7. ...

Re: The Official Welsh Rugby Thread

Honestly, how much worse would the pipeline actually be? Two reejuns should produce 3-4 WQ players per position. We'd need to be smart about how many NWQs we allow per position, as the Irish are - but that's hardly an insurmountable problem. We could also drop the stupid rule about playing in Engla...

Re: The Official Welsh Rugby Thread

We have no money (even our TV money), no players coming through, our reejuns are falling apart and nobody wants to coach us  It's just a barrel of laughs. I've been banging the two-reejun drum for far too long on here, despite having no horse in the race. At this point, anyone who doesn't ...

BREAKING: First poll including new Corbyn party released:

REF: 34%
CON: 17%
LAB: 15%
Corbyn/Sultana party: 15%
LDM: 9%
GRE: 5%

If we cap Atkinson at 10, we need experience in the backrow and 9. Atkinson at 12 also makes sense.

Re: England v India test series

Bethel at 8? Yes, he's a part time spinner too we can rotate with Root. The top order is fixed, and he just extends our batting tail massively. Putting him in at 8 next to Smith means he can learn on the job in test cricket whilst not being put under too much pressure. He's 20/21 remember. His pote...

Re: England v India test series

My team for Old Trafford:

Crawley (really not sure we should persist but I doubt we'll change prior to the ashes now)
Duckett
Pope (see Crawley)
Root
Brook
Stokes
Smith
Bethell
Atkinson
Carse
Archer

Bat them into eternity!

India 2-1 up it seems.

Crawley and Pope are wasted spots in the team.

And the less said about our below average bowling line up the better.

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread

Little shout out to a few players who did themselves no harm. Seb Atkinson - Must admit, I'm dubious sometimes about Gloucester picks because there's usually a glaring weakness in their game somewhere. But he's been excellent twice now and a real option going forward for the 12 jersey. Roebuck/Muir ...

Re: Official Los Pumas - England 2nd test Thread - July 12th, 2025

I just don't understand the mentality of kicking the ball away at all costs from England in that second half when they looked so good with the ball in hand. It's like Borethick just shut down the backs coaches because they were making his normal gameplay look as stupid as it is. I thought it worked...

Welsh defending and keeper were horrendous!
A shame, they got to the Euros by being defensively solid, well drilled and hard to beat. I think the occasion got to them.
Also playing one of the 3 or 4 best teams means the defence is tested in a way it isn't in qualifying.

This is a mauling. Swiatek has never looked so good on grass. If she wins this, it's 6 majors at 23 years old. 1 grass, 1 hard, 4 clay. And the only player on tour who'd have won on all surfaces. At 23.

Swiatek the favourite in the final for me.
