Re: quitting the bottle today

Happy New Year to our fellowship I reckon a roll call would not be a bad idea to see how every one is. Reading back over the entire thread, I realise a whole bunch who spoke in days and weeks must now be talking of being sober for years. It would be great to see how we all are. Rocketz hookah d'ars...

Re: quitting the bottle today

Not here too much these days, but always like to check this thread. Delighted to see it's still active and how much it has helped other boredies. In a few weeks it will have been three years since my last drink. I can honestly say I am happier now than at any time in my life since I first picked up ...

Re: quitting the bottle today

Afternoon all. Just thought I'd see how everyone was doing on this thread. Still sober here, 28 months sinse I last picked up a drink, and life is so much better these days. I felt the urge to check back as I've just seen the "41 bottles of vodka a year" thread. I'd never really worked out my annual...

Still hanging in there but the temptation lately has become significantly worse. Its been nearly 16 months now and the voice in my head saying : One drink wount make a difference is getting to cacaphonic levels on (and the RWC has not made it easier.) Interesting by product. I have a sneaky feeling you're not alone on this. 'Tis a rare woman who can come through penile penetration alone, most women need oral or manual stimulation for that.

That fireplace is rather pathetic... Have to say I was quite impressed by the overall effort. Well, it did take him 9 months (30 days actual labour). We built apartment complexes in that time in Celtic Tiger days. At least his is occupied and debt free. Also stone tools. Build quality is about the ...

Re: What do you do when your friend is sliding into alcoholi

I lived and worked in a party town, where drinking lots every evening was easy. I realised that it was going to lead me down a dark alley if it continued. Drinking was a social thing, not as a result of "issues". But it was heavy duty boozing. I found that changing my environment meant I wasn't aro...

All good here. 16.5 months now. Dont have the compulsion or desire to drink any more, but know that just one drink will put a stop to that. Constant vigilance... that's always in my thoughts and actions now.

If only Scotland and Italy had tried as hard as the French. Haskell must be dropped permanently. A player with that many caps doing something that colossaly stupid at that point of a game cannot be tolerated. . A bit harsh there. It's not like he headbutted a goalpost and butchered a try or anything.

TBH I'd rather never lose to Ireland than exit the next WC. I felt the same before the Irish deified Schmidt. So, if Joe masterminds an Irish WC victory over The AB's does that mean that he will never be welcome in NZ again and we can keep him? Win Win situation if ever I saw one! 👍 This could get ...
