If I'm not investing in funds, I generally tend to buy dividend stocks as well. I have Aviva, HSBC, BAE, GSK and Vodafone in my portfolio.

IIRC they took about 9 months to trigger article 50 and EU made it clear they weren't going to start negotiations wihtout article 50 being triggered.
