Re: U.K Politics Thread
You seem mad keen to make sure the taxpayer pays for many more old people's care. All these things were put in place for a balanced system. The more of these 'benefits' you rip the rug out for, the poorer everyone gets. If pensions don't carry hefty tax breaks then why would people want to invest i...

Get rid of triple lock
Reduce welfare
Reform state pensions
Increase salary threshold for legal immigration/severely reduce poor 3rd world immigration
Severely reduce asylum applications
Potentially 50 bil+ savings there. No need to increase taxes and wreck the economy more.

Burnham's to the left of the party but stayed away from the madness of Corbyn. The first deportation of a Channel migrant under Sir Keir Starmer’s “one in, one out” deal with France was cancelled at the last minute. The Tesla jump is pretty easy to explain - Elon bought $1 billion of TSLA outside of his options, which is a pretty strong statement On the other hand Nvidia may be facing anti-monopoly issues in China.... That explains why Nvidia is down a bit today. Anyway a solid day for US big tech stocks. Ever...

Tesla up another 8% today and that's over 20% in one week. It's close to the all time high. Not sure what's driving the share price up. Only thing I can think of is they are expecting the the Fed cut interest rates tomorrow.

What are you on about ? As someone said earlier re Twickenham at a sellout , we’ve all good fairly good visual representation of what 80k people looks like - and those protests did seem to be far in excess of that. Was a lot of people anyways , for so few arrests Police said they had 1600 officers ...

Some people only have just the S&P 500 in their portfolio which I think is OK considering returns in S&P500 have been better than other regions of the world but there's no guarantee that this will conti...

Tesla Shares now at $395 with a P/E of 229. Honestly just can't believe there is any way to justify this at all. Sales are falling in pretty much all markets.
