Re: 2024 MLR Season.
I came across this thread on Reddit. Fans there are saying the quality of MLR is getting better and the league is growing. Great to see.

Re: 2024 MLR Season.
haven't been following as closely as previous seasons but the quality does appear better. Also looking like MLR is finally starting to draw decent crowds at most home games. Good to see Hopefully Canada can get its act back together and get a team or two back in the comp. Have the crowds really imp...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
So the Wallabies pick up the Rebels forwards coach as their line out specialist. Hmm……. Geoff Parling was also involved with Wallabies in the past. Rebels lineout hasn't been great for a long time but they maybe down to Uelese :o but still interesting that they gave the role to someone whose team h...

Re: Investing
Of course no one can accurately predict what's going to happen but what is almost certain is markets tend to go up over a long enough period. Obviously individual companies can disappear hence the value in investing in funds. I used to invest more in active funds but I mostly invest in index funds t...

Re: Investing
Batteries not cars right ? What? You see success in the battery department, power walls sales? Electric cars are currently dog shit. Wrapped in cat shit as an investment. Yes EV sales are down at the moment but that doesn't mean they will be forever. They do have other revenue streams. I'm no Tesla...

Re: Rebels Drua
Lomani should have received the maximum 10 weeks ban. I think it should be even longer than that. What he did elbowing a player at the back of the head is absolutely disgraceful and dangerous. I don't care how vital he is for our team. Somethings like player welfare are far bigger than a freaking w...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
I've not watched any Japanese footy, but the few European matches I've watched this year the only Aussie players that really leapt out were James Ramm and Jack Maddocks. I don't think any of them are materially better than the local guys, if they are better at all. Skelton looks fat again, I wouldn...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
I prefer players with complementary skillsets. I know the thinking is revolutionary in Australian rugby. I might offer my services as a consultant. Contact Eddie Jones.. I played a game of league once. Good idea. He'll make you one of his many assistant coaches or maybe just put you on the wing.

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Lonergan and Gordon may not have met each other before, which is why I believe pairing Lonergan (or White) with Lolesio is a safer bet. Kerevi will be getting a call-up. Schmidt said that 60/40 selection calls would go to the local players, but I don’t believe Kerevi/Foketi is in any way contentiou...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Maybe in Australia. I'm not sure pro League players in Australia are better at those skills than pro Rugby players from NZ, SA, Ireland, France, etc.

This is pretty much what happened in the Quins vs Toulouse game. Quins were able to compete with them for half a game but then it was lights out.
