Do you get 20% off the market price? I used to work for a company called Old Mutual (used to be in FTSE 100 before they had a demerger) and bought about 15K worth of shares over the years through the share save scheme but they are only worth about 7K now. :x Should have sold them before the demerge...

Picking individual stocks is obviously riskier but can still be rewarding if you buy shares of quality companies and hold them for long. I tend to buy blue chip stocks when they are down and have done really well with most of them. Probably 30% of my portfolio consists of UK stocks and apart from V...

I think Skelton was a poor choice given that he wasn't even a regular starter but that decision was fairly dry bittorm of all the shit decisions Eddie Moans made.

Thing is unless you buy individual. US shares, you are almost always buying FANGS or whatever you want to call them when you buy US ETFs or mutual funds. Thing is unless you buy individual. US shares, you are almost always buying FANGS or whatever you want to call them when you buy US ETFs or mutual funds.

I think majority of my money in the last couple of weeks went in to US funds.

It seems that many of those travelling through NI to claim International Protection in Ireland have already claimed such status in the UK.
