Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
I've not watched any Japanese footy, but the few European matches I've watched this year the only Aussie players that really leapt out were James Ramm and Jack Maddocks. I don't think any of them are materially better than the local guys, if they are better at all. Skelton looks fat again, I wouldn...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
I prefer players with complementary skillsets. I know the thinking is revolutionary in Australian rugby. I might offer my services as a consultant. Contact Eddie Jones.. I played a game of league once. Good idea. He'll make you one of his many assistant coaches or maybe just put you on the wing.

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Lonergan and Gordon may not have met each other before, which is why I believe pairing Lonergan (or White) with Lolesio is a safer bet. Kerevi will be getting a call-up. Schmidt said that 60/40 selection calls would go to the local players, but I don’t believe Kerevi/Foketi is in any way contentiou...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Maybe in Australia. I'm not sure pro League players in Australia are better at those skills than pro Rugby players from NZ, SA, Ireland, France, etc.

This is pretty much what happened in the Quins vs Toulouse game. Quins were able to compete with them for half a game but then it was lights out.

Tell me what you know about grassroots and junior rugby here. I know what it's like in Melbourne. I can't comment on other states apart from what I read on the Internet. Maybe you know about structures in all states? You seem like an Oracle. I do know that skill levels of rugby players in Australia...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
I agree too, mungoes always tell us they have the skillz, to only hit up for 5 tackles then kick away possession. There may be some truth in saying some League players in Australia have better catch and passing skills compared to some Rugby players in Australia. League is a simple game with players...

I agree too, mungoes always tell us they have the skillz, to only hit up for 5 tackles then kick away possession. Interesting read on Chriton in the Roar. From an expansive and free running centre (union) he’s played his pro career with his wings clipped. Trucks it up. Doesn’t pass. Occupies the sa...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
There’s nothing wrong with Junior Rugby in Australia. The problem is the intermediary step between school/rep/academy footy and Super Rugby. Which is why sevens player look comparatively developed at entry to this level. To Thomas story above, We keep getting told the best players in league are goi...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Some random hot takes from the weekend: - Gibbon isn’t the guy. He struggled at times in the set-piece. - Uelese’s throw is fine until it’s not, and then it descends to a goat-fcuk - Oz teams across the board are the fittest they’ve ever been. It’s a great sign imo. - Harry Wilson needs to get bett...
