Geez, how are the Canes not leading this by 25.
Reckon the Saders will be happy with that half given they have given the Canes a lot of opportunities...

Re: Super Rugby 2024
The thing that impreses me this year? 3 weeks into comp and only one undefeated team, Aussie teams no easy beats etc. Isn't this what we want? Bloody great! Too right Dan! Loving the Aussie teams stepping up, Moana look like they have improved as well. This is going to be a great season with a new ...

Re: Crusaders vs Waratahs Match Thread
The Crusaders were the worst of the NZ teams over the weekend. Our error rate was appalling, and our passing lacked cohesion, the ball being passed high, low or behind the target more often than not. Our lineout was sub par and overall we lacked cohesion, particularly in attack. Our two baby halves...

Re: The Crusaders 2024 Thread
Jonny McNicoll returning to the Saders for the rest of the season… Good signing given the options available. Pretty difficult to sign an internationally capped outside back mid season. The question is now where does he fit in? Signed as cover for Will Jordan so I guess 15 is his position, handy pla...

Re: Crusaders vs Waratahs Match Thread
Thanks for starting the match thread mr b. I would have done so earlier in the week but have been crazy busy. Have enjoyed been in Melbourne for the last few days, and last night was a good night at the Rugby. Probably the best crowd I've seen at Super Round, despite the top tier of the Western sid...

Re: The Crusaders 2024 Thread
Jeez, it's like we made a deal with the devil to win 7 titles in a row (cue, obvious jokes from fans of inferior franchises), now he's cashing in and karma is coming back to bite us. Absolutely cannot take a trick with injuries. So we're down to our 2nd choice midfield (Havili/Ennor being first cho...

Brumbies too good as expected, disappointing performance form the Rebels given their circumstances or maybe because of it, either way, they’ll need to be far, far better than that, otherwise they are gone and that is fuxking sad.

So frustrating from the Rebs, simple fundamentals just go out the door everytime they get an opportunity to score some points… fuggin hell.

I’m actually pretty happy with that performance, certainly not sad about what I saw tonight.farmerdave wrote: ↑Fri Feb 23, 2024 9:16 am Crusaders control the tempo so well it's insane. Any time chiefs speed up in the second half they were in control. Good win for the Chiefs. Lots of excuses from sad Sader supporters, chin up chaps.

It was a loss but I’m not that disappointed, given the injury list, that was a pretty decent performance against the competition favourites.

I’ve got no expectations of a Saders win this weekend or in fact a triumphant season, feels different this year so hopefully I can just sit back and enjoy the rugby without any kind of nervousness or anxiety taking over and ruining the experience, if that makes sense?
Good luck to both teams today.

Re: Super Rugby 2024 - Rd 1. Chiefs Vs Crusaders
I originally thought the Chiefs would take this by 13+ but the closer it gets the more I think the Saders might take it based on nothing more than my bias. I must admit, I enjoyed the salty look on McMillan’s face after last years Final and would love to see Penney get one up over him early just to ...

I’m absolutely opposed to changing the eligibility rules. It’ll be the end of NZ domestic rugby. Razor needs to get off this hobby horse of his. The sabbaticals are already an excellent solution. Very innovative as well. Use the sabbaticals, Razor. The reason the saffas changed their eligibility ru...

:? Clearly, short term success, and attempting to throw into sharp relief his tenure to the previous one is more important to Scott Robertson than the long term health and robustness of the game in NZ. Question: Why does Razor's ego not allow him to pick up the phone to his predecessor for some kin...

I love my ham with a salad of some sort but the dressing HAS to be made the old fashioned way with condensed milk, vinegar and mustard. mmmmm
Ham at our house doesn’t make it to Xmas day, it’s gone well before then.
