Re: Wallabies v France July Tests

If you fly in for the big hit you need to go lower under the modern laws - if you don't then you are dicing with danger, as there has to be pretty obvious mitigation if you get the head/neck at all.

Was a dumb play to go for a hit at that height and he paid for it.

As a BB fan-boy, I don't think there is any question he shouldn't be the ABs 10 moving forward. The remaining questions are: - is he the ABs long term fullback? Would need to shift back there and prove it, so currently no. - is he the bench utility? If Dmac is starting fullback, then yes. If someone...

By end of Viv Richards wonderful career he was batting at no 6 for the Windies. He started his test career as an opener. Spent the majority at no3 and 4 during his peak and then moved to 5 and 6. He was still good for a quick fire 70 odd when his team needed it. Father Time waits for no one. Reflex...

Word is that DMac has signed for Milton Haig's Suntory after being told he's number 3. Which he is. Great news. McKenzie is not a starting test fullback at just 75kg. The sooner we move on from him as an All Black 15 option the better. As an aside, he's got all the attributes to be a world-class 9,...

That just not an honest account of anything. Unless it's an automatic sentence(like the 3 strikes rules in some American states), circumstances are always taken into account when sentencing. Of course they are. Re: WORLD TEST CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL- New Zealand vs India, The Rose Bowl, Southampton(moved from Lords because of COVID)

If Ravindra develops to be a test quality spinning all-rounder (batting in the top 6) then that is a helluva team. You have your spinner/holding bowler in the top 6 (can drop to 7 behind Blundell if his bowling workload has been too high in a match) and keep the 4 strike bowlers.

Re: WORLD TEST CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL- New Zealand vs India, The Rose Bowl, Southampton(moved from Lords because of COVID)

The question is really did de Grandhomme's mediocre match figures of 0-32 off 12 overs (out of 165 that NZ bowled) and 13 runs batting justify his selection over either another specialist batsman or a spinner. Given how Santner was playing, he was unselectable. Then NZ had to take the risk of Ajaz ...
