Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
Northmore is an odd call. Would have expected Beard or Ojomoh to be in front of him, especially as he’s been playing 12 for most of the season.

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
I'm really not sure how good ojomoh is or what his ceiling is- but he's earned a run out. Surely the same is true of all England's options at 13? It's even true of Marchant. His ceiling is pretty clear, but is he actually any good at the moment? Someone needs to put their hand up and make the case ...

Bit hard to disagree with this. Perhaps only Mitchell did himself any favours. I thought Cummings and Jones were good. Pleased for Cummings- must have been a difficult few days for him. I don’t recall him putting a foot wrong and did a lot of good stuff too. Good comeback after last week.

Well that was shit. Most of the test side to come from the Wednesday team now, and it’ll be interesting to see how they handle switching both squads around over the next two weeks.

Re: Match 4: NSW Waratahs v B&I Lions
Fin Smith has been surprisingly poor for me. Not really doing anything at all. Can’t blame a fly half when he’s got no options outside him apart from Jones. And if Earl is his only carrying option up front - it’s too predictable Hopefully the bench offers more We've made plenty of line breaks. He's...

Beirne playing himself off the tour He looks old. Old and knackered. He’s not the only one, overtraining maybe? In truth there are a ton of players playing themselves out of contention tonight. From the starting team I reckon there’s no more than a handful that will be involved in the first test now.

That's not the law. By the laws, the tackle was completed. If the player wanted to continue, he needed to release and regather the ball. A very soft try from the referees. As Rog said, it's not your opinion that matters it actually what happened, Ref is very sympathetic to the Warraths. Really? The...

Probably the least impressive half of rugby by the Lions so far. Earl and Jones ok but the rest have struggled to do much. Huw Jones a genuine positive Lineout and Cowan dickie have been solid (throwing is usually a weak spot for him) Apart from the penalty - Earls has been the only other forward t...

Probably the least impressive half of rugby by the Lions so far. Earl and Jones ok but the rest have struggled to do much. The front row has been good. Backs just not in sync at the moment, some of that is due to slow ball or bad presentation but there’s too much high risk stuff on the gainline and...

I hope to go on a Lions tour at some point in my lifetime. I'm 40-ish now, when I was younger I didn't have the money, now I have young kids, so makes sense there's an older demographic. Yep. Our front 5 has been good in the scrum and woeful elsewhere, and we have 1 twelve fresh out of the u12s in his breakout season. But even with that, at least you have had an attacking style of play. Even our established quality players have been regularly playing dreadful stuff. Reset required....

This is pathetic by Gloucester They've had this kind of performance in them all season. There's a soft underbelly in that squad, and heads drop when they go behind. They shipped 40 to Bristol and 50 to Bath early in the season, and they took three absolute hidings in the Parker Pen. Take that freak...
