Re: Lions Lions Lions
I'm not entirely sure what the reason is, but Fin Smith looks really average in this attacking shape, when he generally looks excellent in the flatter/wide-passing Saints strategy. It can't just be pace as it worked (generally) with late era Sexton, but when he's picking the ball up off the tip ons ...

Curry is a very good rugby player, but he has tits for hands far too often.

Re: Match 2: Western Force v B&I Lions OFFICIAL
Absolutely bizarre from Bin. Allowing sealing off and calling 'don't touch' at every ruck where they haven't sealed it off. Allowing rucking from WA 5 fvcking metres past the ruck. He's consistently a shit ref who misses loads of stuff, I really don't understand how he's considered one of the elite.

Re: Match 2: Western Force v B&I Lions OFFICIAL
The world has indeed changed since I was out and about with Lions fans in 2005. Huge numbers of kilt wearing young’uns freshly out of (private) schools probably funded by daddy’s credit card. Now not even those guys can afford to go on tour! TBF, the 'younger' people probably won't turn up until th...

Re: Match 2: Western Force v B&I Lions OFFICIAL
Loving the running lines that are starting to emerge, simple and effective, will only get better and more intricate from here but Faz obviously has a vision that the players have bought into. And you'd think part of the reason the players look a bit knackered here (and last week) is that they're do...

Re: Match 2: Western Force v B&I Lions OFFICIAL
The hands on the ball over the ruck ball rule needs to be sorted. What Beirne got done for there. Pollock was allowed slow down Leinster ball with impunity. In ERC semi. Some refs allow it. Others penalise as soon as the hands touch the ball over the ruck. Ben white is in between. I'm very happy th...

Re: Match 2: Western Force v B&I Lions OFFICIAL
You didn't actually "call ruck", but still dumb by Beirne. He clearly, clearly called "don't come over the top". It was only slightly dumber than the penalty that bloke gave a minute earlier. He didn't actually "call ruck" - Beirne was looking right at him seeking instruction. Dumb by Beirne, but t...

Ryan, Cummings and Hansen the biggest surprises probably - and LCD over George who would have made a lot of sense as dirt tracker captain.

Re: 2024/2025 Champions Cup
Saints are an inferior team but they've been prepared brilliantly. Coaching masterclass. Who is the Saints coach? Sam Vesty does the attack, he's excellent. They've clearly set about James Lowe and cutting back against the blitz. That's true, their attacking shape and ambition is fantastic, and alw...

Re: 2024/2025 Champions Cup
The "over hyped" Pollock currently leading his side with 11 tackles that half. One brilliant try and an assist to put that one around the corner for a walk in untouched try. 2nd in carries behind Ramm. He really is very good, but I still think (when England are crying out for a 12), it is a bit mad...

Re: Champions Cup Quarter Final - Bordeaux v Munster
That’s mental he played Murray at the ruck He's saying the ruck was over, but the ball was still in there and Murray was about to pick it up. I actually don't mind that as a decision, as I think if the team is successfully countering they should be able to to clear through onto the 9, but that norm...

I think that's a mad call - Moefana is covering. Bordeaux actually collapsed that - the other angle the French director quickly cut away from would have shown it.
