Re: The best Irish thread ever
"not what you associate with a player of his quality"?
The two things anyone who watches rugby associates with Niall Scannell are not straight lineouts and knocking the ball on.

Re: The best Irish thread ever
It is obviously easier to play with a lead, but you just watch how Exeter slow everything down in the second half, and we have about 10 minutes total in play time.CM11 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2026 1:16 pmTactics were awful.Conspicuous wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2026 1:15 pm Shambolic from Munster , utterly shambolic . Re: The best Irish thread ever
Just unimaginably awful. Kendellan just watching the bouncing ball off the lineout. No idea what on earth Casey is doing with that cocked up pass - just slow the bloody game down!!!!! So depressing and absolutely baffling Munster haven't had a Hooker who is up to European rugby (let alone able to co...

Re: The best Irish thread ever
Been awful by Munster. As much as Casey and Crowley made such a huge difference last week, they're joint game management this week with the wind has been properly awful.
Exeter being allowed to do great (not so legal) work slowing ruck ball, and the team isn't learning.

I don't really think any team gets penalised for what France does based on the way the game is generally being reffed. But England definitely should be pissed they got a yellow when France didn't England have been penalised for that exact offence - lifters blocking the jumper - multiple times in th...

Your whole game is about territory and pressure, and you pick a lock at 6, and you don't compete at the first two lineouts.

One angle looked short, the other looked on the line. How the TMO says that definitively is just massive incompetence.

We got lucky with the second score, TOB joins the maul ahead of the ball as he thinks Doris has it. That creates a bit of the confusion that allows Sheehan to peel off.

Australia to Japan and back to NZ is annoying from a travel day perspective, but they'll all be flying in business class and they can pretty much stay on the same sleep schedule for the 3/4 weeks they are travelling. You'd also expect that the team that plays Japan will be second string - and I woul...

Re: The best Irish thread ever
Furlong was perfectly good 1st half until the try at the end. But was completely gassed by that point and offered nothing 2nd half. As I said in the match-thread, the reason that game was close was because (as well as their very welcome physical commitment) they won most of the aerial contest - or a...
