Rebrand as the Southern Brumbies, with half their games played in Canberra and half in Melbourne? Nah. It’s hard enough building momentum and a fan base with only half a dozen home games a year. 3 or so would be suicide. Call them the Melbourne Brumbies and be done with it. Play all games in Melbou...

Re: Melbourne Rebels... faaaaarked!

I would like to see a Melbourne Rebels team join the Shute Shield. Well I’d prefer each “Super” team to be a rep team of club comps. Dewar Shield produces the Rebels/Axemen. Perth produces the Force. Sydney has catchment areas with 2/3 teams. Hospital cup 2 etc. Build a proper pyramid. Sydney needs...

I wouldn’t describe the VRU as a high performing organisation. Talent finds its way through in spite of. What we’ve seen work really well is the replication of Super at the junior level. Re: League players are no good in Union

I dont think Marky Mark will go that well on the dark side. It will depend who is inside him in the halves. His defence is average(of late) and he tends to turn over the pill a lot. There is no doubting the high level of skill in loig and they play a lot of games. It does not always translate well ...
