Well they’re not top 40, but beyond that they’ve been regularly fellated by Guitar Player, Bass Player & Modern Drummer magazines. They are held up as the best of the best when it comes to prog rock and Peart often as the greatest rock drummer of all time. I like when Jake plays along to them on FB...

Rush is the one vaunted band that I cannot stomach a single song. The Geddy Lee effect, I think. Probably the benchmark for underrated IMO. Had my jaw broken playing against Grimsby in my 20s , resulted in an operation and overnight stop in the hospital. It was my own bleeding team mate as well, the dopey twat missed one if their players 😂 When was that Benny? As an ex Grimsby player we were always happy to welcome teams with a soupçon...

Never good to see such a significant musical figure pop their clogs.
Sad that my last memory of him was seeing The Specials at the Hardwick Festival this August. To be brutally honest, they were not great and the speed at which the crowd dwindled away was a good measure of that.

Re: Sam Bankman-Fried Goooone...
The whole crypto thing is a massive con. I listened to the podcast about OneCoin and Ruja Ignatova. How people got scammed into that is really sad to hear (fools and their money and all that). I started to feel sorry for the Ghanaian families conned out of their life savings until they cheerfully ad...

Have attempted the UK Lakeland 50 twice - failed first time, completed the second.
It has a 24hr time limit with mandatory withdrawal at checkpoints if you are off the pace.
My feet were ruined for weeks afterwards.

This is good! Just finished the second episode. Gun cast and the is equal parts infuriating and tragic. https://m.media-amazon.com/images/M/MV5BZTc5NmU1YWUtMzgxNC00YmVmLTk1MDYtNjlkNjQwZGVjMTIzXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyMDM2NDM2MQ@@._V1_QL75_UX190_CR0,0,190,281_.jpg It is excellent. Re: Amazon & Billionaires vs the workers they treat like crap
Have your dipped into r/antiwork? It's terrifying how a huge amount of Americans are treated at work. It's a hellscape I didn't realise how bad it was until working for a US company and having some of the US staff be based in Oz. They honestly couldn't believe the protections/rights/allowances work...

Re: Sturgeon, Covid and Scottish political stuff
Once the tapering/end of furlough begins, I expect that there will be a big upswing in unemployment, particularly in the service/hospitality sector. Even if restrictions are lifted early next month, this summers tourist dividend is lost. Most S/M businesses will not be able to survive the effective ...

Knuckle Dragger, hate to break it to you but we're all fudged economically No shit. However I think that an independent Scotland will be an order of magnitude more fudged than the rest of the UK. Approx 1/3 of working age Scots currently dependent on the WM Govt for furlough etc. Currently not impa...

Re: Sturgeon, Covid and Scottish political stuff
I was firmly in the Better Together camp and think independence is economically risky, whatever way you look at it, but after 4 years of inane Brexit reasoning dominating the national conversation you can see why people who would be previously uncommitted might now think 'fudge it, let's go'. In wh...
