Just ridiculous. Barrett literally runs into him. It's a dynamic movement and Beirne has absolutely no time to react. One remembers the Irish tears all those years ago when Cane braced for the collision with a pirouetting Henshaw. So in that vein Beirne is a dirty SOB and it was fully intentional.

I think a reasonable point is that sooner or later New Zealand are going to have to consider doing the haka as a victory dance after the match because it's becoming a little bit awkward doing it first and then getting paddled. I wish John Eales doco on the Haka was widely available. Very educational.
