Re: 1874 Cup: USA Eagles vs All Blacks: MATCH THREAD: Sat 23rd Oct

That was a glorified training run. No structure.

I thought Mo'unga, Ennor, Jordan and Bridge were all excellent. And Barrett, Perenara, Cane and Lomax were poor. Bower also looked good when he came on.

The quality of this year's provincial comp seems high, but for some reason I'm not as excited by it as I have since 2008 or thereabouts. I'm not sure why? I'll probably tune out for the rest of the comp and start watching it again next year. Maybe it's because Canterbury is so shit this year they m...

Looking forward to watching this game when I wake up. Do I think it will be competitive? No. But I'm always excited to watch the AB's play regardless of the opposition. In particular I am looking forward to seeing Mo'unga back at no.10 and how the the backrow and midfields combine. I won't be settin...

I'm looking forward to seeing Quinn play. I think he will be a revelation on this tour. I don't have the same love for Ennor. Interesting post given so far in their professional careers across all levels of Rugby, Ennor has shown much more promise than Tupaea has. Very much an opinion, I have rated...

In a nod to AC - and his loathing of BB - my question would give they only choose 2 first fives and one back up why play DMAC and BB. Fixed. Could have given Jordan a start at 15 with DMac off the pine and BB left right out. Two of the AB's three first fives are in the starting XV. There is no need...

Nice to see Mo'unga back, and Brayden in the team after he's had lots of injury issues. I hope Josh Lord plays well, we need 2m+ locks coming through, not relative man-midgets like Vaa'i. That would be fair to say, although as always with the AB's it contains plenty of quality. If that backrow clicks they could unleash serious pain on our American boets.

Add Archer and Stokes in and it might have been a decent contest. I don't think either team is hugely strong right now. Without them, it's hard to see much better than 4-1 if I'm being generous, with a decent chance of 5-0. The Australian bowling attack is world class, especially on Australian wick...

Ere Enari has left the Crusaders and has signed with Moana Pasifika. He's actually in career best form for Hawkes Bay, and is a good signing for them. I wonder if the can sign Lincoln McClutchie at 10? He'd be a decent signing as well. The NZ Super Rugby teams are on notice, if you have decent young...

Clogs,

Your comment would be more meaningful if;

A) You voted
B) You weren't relentlessly anti-ALP, and
C) Albanese wasn't competing against Scott Morrison. Perhaps you like Scott Morrison's personality? In fact, I am sure you do.
