Re: Brisbane. Fvcked.

Imagine if they cancel the NRL final (or don't let spectators in). But the rugby goes ahead down on the Gold Coast. There will be a crowd. It will be held in Brisbane or Townsville, but there will be a crowd either way. As an aside, hasn't Townsville done well from the pandemic this year? A State o...

They're going to see go he goes at training before making the decision apparently. He's been working hard, but the training sessions will allow them to measure where He's at. I expect Ian Foster will lovingly gift BB another start. He's utterly desperate for BB to reclaim the All Black no.10 jersey...

Re: Rugby Championship: Springboks vs All Blacks: MATCH THREAD: Sat 2nd Oct

Of course Richie Mo'unga should start for this test. He's our incumbent test no.10, and it's not like he was off with an injury. He'll be really fresh which is great. Beauden Barrett was completely ineffectual in attack last week, and looks like he needs a break. He's played in every test match this...

4 local cases in 2 separate clusters. All a mystery. And Queensland hasn't shut down hard and fast yet? Re: In theory, who should have won the respective RWCs

The idea that SA should have won in 2011 is the most ridiculous on here, closely followed by England in 1991. The Boks scraped past Samoa and Wales and would have been penalized out of the QF for their porpoise flopping and thuggery by a stronger ref than Lawrence. Remember that gif that did the ro...

Re: Dominant scrum or dominant line out?

Teams don't even compete in a defensive lineout most the time. I reckon they might with a dominant lineout. The point is it can be mitigated. A dominant lineout 5 metres does not guarantee a try. A dominant scrum can guarantee a penalty try or pushover. Plus a yellow card. Tell that to Martín Castr...

Im going scrum, because it means that teams with weak scrums are less likely to throw the ball around based on fear of dropping it and then giving away a penalty. That means teams will not have much penetration in their attack. Having said that a dominant lineout means that you can partially negate...
