Re: The Crusaders 2024 Thread

Wow, this speaks volumes about the game in NZ nowadays. If being the first choice 10 and the starter in super rugby for the foreseeable future is not a drawcard anymore…? Injured first five-eighth Fergus Burke, 24, has been linked with English club Saracens, with Crusaders coach Rob Penney saying a...

Would you prefer your government;

A) Persisted with all their electoral policies, regardless of how bad they were?

or

B) Made decisions that were right for the country?

Havili should not go close to another All Black test in a very long time, while I'm not convinced Penney is anything more than yet another in a long line of favourite sons given the coaching job for the fun of it. On current form the only Crusaders who'll get a mention for the AB's is Reece. In say...

Re: Blues v Crusaders @ Eden Park - Saturday

A disappointing but totally expected result. Losing Strange and Crotty late in the week seems somehow appropriate given the state of our squad. I actually think we defended really well, and aside from the tries conceded when Heinz was off, we never let the Blues get a roll on or get comfortable. Hop...

NZR was set up in the amateur era, and its governance structure has barely changed. The only way to shake it up is with a Super League-esque shake up. The provinces will never agree to reduce their power and influence.

Provincial standard is a bit rough. Don't take anything away from the hometown 'heroic loss' narrative. Has anyone used the word heroic? We played like shit. Isometrics are good, they build muscle and the risk of injury is less than contractual exercises. I don't target them specifically but I try and incorporate them into my workouts through tempo. For example when I'm doing DB presses I will hold the DB at the top for 4-5 seconds. And when I do pull up...

Reece and Moorby have both been in good form. Reece looked like pretty much our sole attacking threat the last two weeks.
