Re: Official Munster v Leinster "O'Classico" Match Thread
So is 'Young Fineen' annoying Sexton still the highpoint of this fixture for Munster in the last five years? Everytime that's brought up it reminds me how far they've fallen. But to be fair you wouldn't have begrudged them the victory last night. And I'm big on begrudgery. Is this guy a multi ? Can...

Just watched Connacht game poor conor fitz had a mare. Ospreys 12 was very good, probably a fair result shame Connacht haven't kicked on since beating us. His first game in a long time , nightmare start for but did some good stuff after that. Connacht’s defence was atrocious which was surprising gi...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Looking forward to seeing how Conor Fitz goes today, first start for a long time. Carty is fit so not sure what that means about him not being in the 23 and does it say anything re Irish selection tomorrow. Bundee and Papa on the bench. There'll be plenty of biffing in the 2nd half Dodgy start from...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Whilst i agree Stockdale is Irelands best attacking weapon i think swapping him and Keenan is the best way forward. I think the latter deserves a run of games in the 15 shirt with Stockdale and Earls either side of him and Larmour benching. Agreed I thought Stockdales defence his last game for Ulst...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
I’ve been impressed with Mike Haley every time I’ve seen him this season. I’m not sure how much of an attacking threat he is but I don’t think there’s a safer fullback under the high ball in Irish rugby atm while he also looks to have a good kicking game.

Any way of getting a weekend pass type thing for Eirsports? If not, is there any more rugby likely to be shown over the next few months on the station? They've a reduced price of €15 per month for 4 months and you can cancel after two months which I'll go for if no other options. I availed of that ...

Medals for Leinster < Grand Slam, Lion. Hard to compare when Isa didn't play international rugby bar 30s. NZ tried to change eligibility rules to cap Isa, Springboks said CJ too small. Not hard to compare who has been the better import, one has played more than 30 times for Ireland, one hasn't. 46 ...

Not that I agree with him, but if you listen to the interview, rog basically says that cooney would be his number 2, but wouldn't see the reason behind having cooney and Murray in the same squad. Also says that cooney and sexton don't work well together. Was a bit too much of a Murray love-in thoug...

I would select POM at 7 ahead of VDF and Connors. Both of them are decent players, both are weak enough at the breakdown and in general too light for 6 nations rugby. POM was one of Ireland’s better performers in the autumn, he is physical when he gets fired up, world class line out jumper and prov...

I’m not sure he was tbh . His basics were pretty poor from memory and most people were content to see him move on as they never envisaged him being first choice . FFS, he had one good run up the wing but he’s 35 and his place kicking has been gash. Too much hype lads, calm down. I don't think Luke McGrath or JGP will be losing too much sleep over this 9 taking their places in the future. Given Moxham has featured fairly consistently over the past month I would expect him to be in the academy. Big guy for a 19 year old back 3 player.
