Re: AUNZ XV v Lions
First 2 Lions trys pretty much came about due to lack of cohesion or understanding of who is doing what for the AUNZs. To be expected to a large extent.
3rd Lions try pretty well done.
Koribeti is busted, most of the others doing pretty well as individuals though.

Re: Christophe Ridley: England Assistant and International Referee - Conflict of Interest?
I thought he did a great job. Winners generally do! I only watched first half and a smattering of the second but seemed like he was very good alright. Me too. Even though France well down on the penalty count - but that was a reflection of the AB performance. Ridley was balanced in his interpretati...

The 96 one? First RC game ever... perfect rain performance... I think he means Loveridge vs the Lions in 83. Loveridge was most renowned for his performance in the second test against the touring British Lions on 18 June 1983, at Athletic Park in Wellington. According to Lindsay Knight, for the New...

Re: All Blacks 2025
Who do AB fans consider the better SH, Smith or Marshall? And how big is the gap? Assuming it’s Smith Smith for sure. Very different styles. Marshall (and Kelleher) were really big guys for 9s at the time and could bust tackles and tackle like additional loose forwards but neither of them could pas...

Yes, we are the bollocks Waa hoping he would let the Chiefs start this week but Tupaea missing and the rest on the bench....again. Correction. Narawa making a surprise appearance Hopefully Tupaea next week. I don't want to see Jacobson though.. ever. He's the modern Reuben Thorne. Bit harsh. I'm no...

Re: Brumbies v Lions Wed, Jul 9
Was a bit of a pity the Brumbies couldn't field a full strength team, probably would have pushed what is looking to be very close to the Lions 1st choice team pretty hard. Saying that the try the Brumbies gave away on the 40 minute mark, while well taken, was pretty dumb by them :? One thing I've se...

always makes me laugh when Union fans get all pissy and condescending about League when nearly all Union defences and attack moves are straight out of league play books - got a league man in charge of the Lions(got no problem with Faz Snr as loved him as a Wigan player) though I am not so fond of h...

Well Lio-Willie came in as injury cover for Jacobson so I guess Jacobson is preferred over Lio-Willie. I wonder if he will be available this weekend? He had that history of bad knocks early in his career. I would like to see the same team(without Reece of course) I think they will have better feel ...

The last test against France is July 19th... The first RC match is Aug 16th against Argentina... A 4 week break.. Couldn't the France games have been moved back a couple of weeks so all the stars could come? Probably would not allow the French players to have the required break before the beginning...

Re: Match 4: NSW Waratahs v B&I Lions
That's not the law. By the laws, the tackle was completed. If the player wanted to continue, he needed to release and regather the ball. A very soft try from the referees. As Rog said, it's not your opinion that matters it actually what happened, Ref is very sympathetic to the Warraths. Really? The...

I thought Norris did well at scrum time but that’s fair. Thought norris snd Tosi had good impact as well with ball in hand. That obstruction call on tosi was ridiculous Utterly. Does Tupaea come I'm at 13 and :| Tavatavanawai to 14 next week? The defense is the biggest worry, I think they'll be happy with quite a bit of that game - set piece was good, really should have made more of their territory and possession in second half, and made enough in the first half to be furt...

Almost a touch of the famous Baby Blacks with that French team  Played very well. Pretty typical first up test by the ABs. Well done Scotland. With the team listed I did think the MABs should take it but if any game showed rugby is a team game that was it. MABs perhaps a bit more talented (Nock apart) but Scotland far more organised and cohesive and it paid off. Could Nock have done anything more to telegraph ...

Does it say within 1m in the law book? It wasn't sanctioned in the last five minutes of the Crusaders v blues semi. Doesn't explicitly say 1m but that's the generally accepted guideline. The Law says "near". And in the "Definitions" section of the Law Book, it states: "Near: within one metre" https...

This is another which clearly needs some looking at.
As its written it applies to both teams, yet it is never applied that way.
b. Intentionally collapse a ruck or jump on top of it.
Sanction: Penalty.

Yeah, no. You must be right. Elliot Daly must be a "dreadful" tackler. That will be why he keeps getting selected. Coaches love "dreadful" tacklers. They bring so much to the team. In fact, he's such a dreadful tackler that he's: - Won multiple tests against South Africa, starting at 15 - Won multi...

It's just hivemind vibes. If you repeat something enough times, people will start to think it's true. A "dreadful" tackler doesn't get selected on three consecutive Lions tours. In the same way that Will Stuart was shite, until he suddenly wasn't. And that Bevan Rodd couldn't scrummage, until he mu...

Isn't there a law in rugby that there is no "touch" in goal. What I mean - as weird as it sounds - but by the lawbook, it's legal to have your body out, and reach in goal and ground a bouncing ball and it's still a try? I think they might have f-cked up there. If any part of his body put that ball ...

Let's just say, I wouldn't think WR is getting their money's worth if their support of MP is based on promoting Samoan and Tongan rugby and it's not surprising that they're pulling it. So your criteria for MP being subsidised to a degree by WR is that anyone they select must play for Tonga or Samoa...
