Re: Rebels vs Blues
Definitely a hard edge to the Blues play these days, both carrying the ball and in defence. Perhaps a bit too focused at times on boshing their way over the try line but it worked out for them. Rebels perhaps a bit hard done by with the scoreline considering the way they played but a very tough ask ...

Re: Official Canes v Tahs Match Thread.
What's not to like ... Intent was clearly signaled with that scrum in the 3rd minute, and at 26-0 after 26 minutes, I was thinking it might be a cricket score. Credit to the Tahs for stepping up, but it was too late by then. My biggest takeaway from that game is that Grant offers so much more at Lo...

Absolutely. They had just handed the Saffers their asses and were being nice - trying to make them feel better, if you like. By assuming the Boks would beat France and the Irish would beat the ABs.....I think the Saffers would have made zero assumption about beating France. Yes. The secret of the W...

Re: League players are no good in Union
Top 14, Heineken cup and even some of the English Premiership games get huge crowds. 15 years ago Super rugby games regularly had far bigger crowds than NRL. Had they not expanded so fast with a hard to follow format, perhaps we'd still have healthy crowds. According to 2 cents rugby the NRL gets a...

Re: League players are no good in Union
Watched an interesting video by Two Cents the other day, showing how massively popular the NRL is in Aus. Lot's of money and support in the game. Much bigger than Soup rugby . That's where it ends though. International league is effectively a non-event and is dwarfed by rugby. I have no doubt that ...

We are over halfway through Supe 2024 and anyone who doesn't have Caleb Clarke marked down as one AB winger either hasn't been watching much Supe or is being parochial. Re: League players are no good in Union
It's pretty hard to have a chip on your shoulder for a sport that's far less successful. That was what I was getting at. As an Australian based poster, your statement that Rugby League is "far less than successful" than Rugby simply doesn't make sense. Perhaps that's the case in France and the UK? ...

It doesn't say anything about it. There was a deal i believe done post Brexit bilaterally between both countries regarding the removal of asylum seekers Problem is it's too close to a local election to let that gain legs. We'll hear more about it next week i expect. It's not a human rights ruling. ...

You clearly don't either. Eu citizens don't have the right to free movement anymore as they need permission to enter UK. Only Irish citizens have the freedom of movement in both UK and EU. I saw the analysis they did on The Breakdown and I do agree he has an element of risk in his technique. The tackle vs NSW is perfectly fine mind you but his other tackles in previous matches (which I hadn’t seen) while fine in those matches will get him in trouble in future if he’s just a little bi...

Jordie Barrett has worn the All Black 10, 11, 12, 14, 15 and 23 Jersey, and you know he could wear 13. He has also packed down in the blindside flanker position in scrums, and with his height he would be handy in a lineout too. has he really? started tests in all those positions? or you mean he pla...

While there have been some league players that have been outstanding in rugby, I think it's fair to say many haven't lived up to the expectations. I don't think it helps that league hypes a lot of their players up so much. I think the players know the challenges they face moving codes but league I b...

The reason we're getting a surge of migrants from the UK is down to our own wonderful judiciary.
