Re: Jordie Barrett to Leinster !

The whole thing reads like him wanting a break. As I said on our thread, closest a pro can get to a backpacking holiday. What's his NZ salary likely to be? Is it really well off 3/400k? I'm sure he does want a break and a change of scenery will probably do him good. Just make sure he comes back in ...

I still don’t get it? They have a really strong link to Ireland having lived there as kids. Beauden played U12 Gaelic for Meath. I’ve heard them all talk of loving their time there and wanting to get back to visit. The fact Jordie can do so and get paid well for it, all the better. Agreed but the w...

Re: Joseph Suaalii to quit Roosters, join rugby on monster deal

That’s just the cherry on top for NZR. No need to spend treasure and resources on developing league talent - overseas clubs can do that. If it works out, they get an All Black. No risk and big upside. Another athlete from Tokoroa. They’ve really churned out some talent with a population under 15K. ...

Moorby to sign a two year deal with Montpellier, apparently. Big loss if so. Hugely underrated with a high ceiling Agree, was coming into some great form and was starting to look like AB potential. New Zealand back Jordie Barrett is to join Leinster on a short-term contract next season. The brother of Beauden and Scott, Jordie Barrett has 57 caps for New Zealand, and will join in December 2024 and play until the end of next season. Musings the morning after the night before.... The Canes Scrum is a beast. The Chiefs have a good tight five, but at scrum time they were destroyed. It was like men v boys in the first half.
