Re: The Camino Way
I’d love to do this, how hard in the knees. Was the accommodation ok, I’ve a CPAP so need relative comfort. I'm the religious type and have always wanted to do the trail. Being diagnosed with sleep apnia last year pretty much put the brakes on this for me. From what friends tell me who have done th...

Re: The Camino Way
We watched a movie called The way which had the actors walking the Camino trail. Quite a good movie actually. This is first time we heard about the Camino way. Anyway we went to Northern Spain (stayed in Gijón but saw Oviedo, Lucano, Aviles, Cudillero, Luarca) and when we were in some of the towns,...

Re: The Camino Way
I’d love to do this, how hard in the knees. Was the accommodation ok, I’ve a CPAP so need relative comfort. We were walking about 15 miles a day average (max 19 miles), staying in reasonable 2 star hotels. Most pilgrims stay in auberges/hostels which are just dormitories that you can't pre-book. Th...

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
Have to say I haven't felt this upbeat about English rugby for decades. 6Ns were a good start and the English sides have played well in Europe on tiny budgets compared to the French and Irish sides. Exciting players emerging, U20s winning a GS, GP a good watch again....

The Camino Way
I've just returned from walking the last 150km of the Camino Way in N Spain. I am not at all religious but I did find the whole experience very uplifting and emotional. The trail is beautiful but, more significantly, the atmosphere and camaraderie between the thousands of pilgrims is something else....

Re: Irish Courts: U.K. not a safe country
Now emerging that the Irish government’s claim that 80% of migrants in Ireland have crossed from UK is totally made up. Most just fly into Ireland on a tourist visa and then claim asylum. The number crossing from UK is completely unknown but probably very small. The Irish government are behaving lik...

Labour may keep Rwanda Plan until EU return agreement agreed. https://www.newstatesman.com/politics/labour/2024/04/would-labour-keep-the-rwanda-scheme On illegal migration, Labour has a problem. All the small boat arrivals should be offered Rwanda or Ireland. If they choose Ireland they get taken to the land border, pronto. Problem sorted. The pending new SF government wants more immigrants anyway so it’s win-win.

Certain posters acting like the disparity is England’s ‘fault’. The RFU identified women’s rugby as a way to expand and got behind it. It’s worked very well and they’ve got a lot better. The other unions didn’t. That’s it. It would be like moaning that the ABs were better than everyone else in the ...

The 6 nations is a good competition without England. The other teams gain nothing playing England and England gain nothing from this either. End this tournament it's serves no purpose at all. There is no question he is the best golfer in the world, however the guy needs to find a personality. Some will suggest he is simply "...

3 quarter finalists is a pretty good return. Does feel like English rugby is moving ahead at last. Some of the Irish players have informed us how bad all the teams are. We are doomed 3 English 3 French 1 Irish 1 SA I'll take that - even if Exeter and Quins are odds on to get well beaten in the next...

Thought the ref spoiled the game yesterday. Arsenal committed 20 fouls and didn't receive one yellow. In the first half alone there were at least 3 clear bookings that went unpunished. If reffed properly, the game would have been more open. Arseanl fouled with impunity, which created a very dull sp...
