Re: Gregor Townsend
Ok, new PR rule. You can't call for a coach or a player to be sacked/dropped if you don't suggest an alternative who stands up to scrutiny. This would basically end the Townsend debate. Waaaaaay out of left field pick, largely as I think it’s a top two inches issue, Ben Ryan. The bloke whose only s...

On topic, I'm not sure Scotland will get a coach who can life them better than Townsend. Though I do think Townsend style is one can beat almost anyone on their day, but would require so much energy and precision I doubt Scotland can do it 5 games in a row.

Yea... what's that now.... half a dozen or more 'incidents' involving Boeing in the last 12 months.... Well, at least shareholders had a good run there for a few years as dividends and stock buy-backs replaced actually making planes that don't fall apart. I think it was Duff or someone who created the original Boeing thread, but the documentary that was recomended there was a revelation. Genuinely i...

Players don't (or shouldn't) get red cards for accidental high hits. They get red cards for going too high, recklessly, with force. If it was random then all teams would be getting red cards in equal measures and there'd be a random distribution amongst the players. This isn't the case. I agree.

Is it fair to say the current approach and the attempts in the recent past have done little to prevent head injuries? You'd have to be fecking fruit loops not to heed the 1980s explosion in the services industry and what that meant for the middle classes. Yes there are some much more recent struggles around house prices, around jobs being short-term, but it's not a regression back to the 1950s. And it hasn't wiped...

I’m not sure how true that is. True in the sense as you say, around 60% are revolting against Tory leadership from Tory voters, but, there’s around 30% who just want change. Sure, but one is far past ‘not good’. There is a clear choice for all sane, non-fascists. I think that framing is what drives people away from the mainstream.
