Re: Women's 6 Nations 2024 thread
Why are GB so bad at 7's, 8th in the world behind Ireland? You even get to pick from 3 countries - this is embarrassing given it is an olympic sport? https://www.svns.com/en/standings Honest answer? No one in England in reality gives 2 f’s about 7s. Ask any of the posters who are English in here if...

Re: Women's 6 Nations 2024 thread
Still 88-10? With all those swathes of Lady GAA players, you'd think they'd be able to find a few to make a team. Maybe use some if the cash spunked on Munster men, if they're only concentrating on Leinster now? Half the team if not more have been sourced from gaa as it stands. Because everyone pla...

Re: Trans issues and 'compelled' speech
I'm sure everyone recalls Canadian psychologist turned demented oddball Jordan Peterson shooting to celebrity following his misguided and largely incorrect interpretation of Canadian bill C-16, which outrageously sought to protect the human rights of trans people. His fury was directed at the idea ...

Ireland is a rural country relatively meaning a local gaa club is the only viable club to go to for large swathes of people. Don't let your lack of knowledge of Ireland disrupt your opinion though. Don't let your lack of knowledge of me prevent you from making statements. The assertion was "GAA is ...

I believe he paid a vulnerable 17 year old for some sexually explicit pictures. Though it all got very confusing. No one doubts that he did this, which breaks the law, but the met police are just stating they didn't "think" he broke the law. It all smacks of some kind of fudge to me. Not sure you c...

How many Barretts are coming over and replacing another NIQ coming for a whole 6 months. Unless girl schools start playing rugby here we will never catch up. There seems to be very little appetite for this to happen as most have been playing Hockey, GAA for decades. Most clubs if they have a womens...

He maybe a twat, I don't know him. But I support the right of people to peacefully protest and for people to walk in the street. Protesters are kept apart by police all the time. Nobody bat's an eyelid. Protesting normally involves groups of people marching, chanting and carrying banners. Not indiv...

In real news....there's now been over 300 bodies recovered from mass graves at Nasser hospital. Including women, children, hospital staff and patients. Also, I've just seen from pretty tragic images of a baby who had to be rescued by being cut from the womb of it's dying mother after two houses wer...

They do. There is a fixed and a variable performance based component to 6n mens revenues. England and France get a much larger fixed based component. Ireland got more last year in total only because they won the tournament... Ie the variable component outstripped the larger french and english fixed...

The France and England who already get more money out of the 6N compared to the other 4 simply because they are ... France and England. How yo...

2k women play the game in Ireland. All the money in the world isn't going to bridge the gap with England where I've read numbers at about 50k. We need more girls playing and the annual news cycle bitchfest that follows every England game does more damage than great results like the game against Wal...

Or are you saying that Irish girls are much too nice to play rugby?

Scary to think England are doing this without Sarah Bern as well. I think if I was someone at the RFU, I'd enter 2 RFU owned sides into the Women's Premier XVs. No home ground for either, but both based out of Pennyhill Park. One side would be the England Under 23S Side and the other would be the U...

Agreed about how marriages can keep things hidden. Though in this case, given they worked together on political goals in linked jobs in the same party, they where both a the top of, it seems unlikely Sturgeon could have no clue as to what was happening here. I tend to agree with most of that, except for the highlighted bit. There was no suggestion it was Islamic terror except for people leaping to conclusions, and that was then a self perpetuating prophecy from there. In Australia, it was less likely to be that than some other form of violence. Why is ...
