Notre Dame in Flames

Disasters rarely hit as hard as this one.

A Billion euros to restore? You can always put right the basic structure, that's just a matter of time - but the artifacts and the sumptuous relics?

Sounds dangerously like a good investment. Plenty of reasons to criticise, I'm not sure that is a good one. If we have these alternative revenue streams bringing in cash then the question is not how they make the money, but how they spend it. The good investment comments are fair enough, it is the ...

Good one Jeff, I've just broken through the golden haze and that made me enjoy the result even more. Moment of the match for me on the Ireland side was watching a Lions 10 throwing the ball in frustration as Ireland were pinged yet again. I've just been for a walk around the park that took me by the Dean's Ave Mosque. It's still taped off and has a heavey armed police presence. There are lots of floral tributes there as well. That was a desperate Scotland aided by a desperate referee and we were damn lucky to win that game.

The two 9s on view for us were not international class yesterday. Should we look overseas?

That was almost the one that got away and the defence should get double money.

Scotland are due another good performance and Wales have to be very careful in the first half.

Given a good referee and accurate decisions from his assistants this game should be a cracker.

Wales by 15 points would be good.
