Joseph has so much time. There is a massive gap in class with joseph, youngs and ford against burrell.

Never even knew this - he captained NZ in the first 2 test matches I ever saw live. Superb natural batsman. He is consistently excellent on cricinfo as well - never seems to put a foot wrong in his unbiased articles.

I actually think 36 is a good player when he has less time to think and acts on instinct. Contrary to what people think here, he can actually tackle. I'd still prefer eastmond though.
